I enjoy Kent Java Bar! The atmosphere and staff are great! Love how they have it decorated! I usually get a hot white mocha, they are pretty good. Although I have noticed lately they are made different every time I come in. Lately they have been not right. Can't put my finger on it, but taste very bland lately. So I tried a regular coffee today And it was pretty good except you have no flavored creamers? Came home and put french vanilla creamer and boy what a difference!!UPDATE.... Since I wrote this I have returned and have gained some knowledge about coffee houses! The hot white mocha that I absolutely love from here has been fixed. With the help of an employee she suggested to add an extra squirt of syrup, that sometimes less or more is put in by different employees. I have also learned that I don't care for syrup flavors in my regular coffee. I guess I am just a French vanilla creamer gal! Still GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND STAFF! Will never trade out Kent Java for...

The best and worst things about this place are kind of related. I love the second floor, which is labelled a quiet working area, and it seems like most people adhere to this policy. However, the cafe sometimes has live music on the first floor, which always seems to drive traffic upstairs into the quiet area, including people who just want to sit and chat. Once the upstairs gets crowded, it ceases to be quiet, which makes me not want to be there. When I leave, the downstairs is always empty except for the musician, sadly playing to an...
Read moreGreat little small business owned by a local small town woman. Love supporting woman owned businesses. They use Quills roasted beans from Louisville, so that's already a great sign. They have some great Specialty coffee drinks, not butter like St*rbucks. I had the Chocolate stout 1/2 caff with oat milk.
My girlfriend that knows the owner, she had her own specialty drink, the Vanessa, 4 shots espresso, peanut butter and chocolate with steamed milk with 2 pks sugar. To die for. Tasted like peanut butter malted milk balls.
My girlfriend Vanessa has her art work upstairs, super talented painter artist with some mixed media. Other local artists as well. Saturday when we went a local classical guitarist was playing music. Great place to hang...
