DK's Donuts — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I was looking for a late night snack and found this donut shop on Google Maps, that was open 24hrs. They also have a drive thru, which was very convenient since I preferred to not get out of my car.

There was only one car in line and they were taken care of quickly. I ordered a dozen to take back home and asked if they had any old fashions with chocolate or maple glaze. The person that helped me let me know they had a fresh batch that was being glazed, so I only had to wait a few minutes.

While I waited he filled my box with an assortment of donuts and once the old fashions were ready, he placed them in a separate box so they wouldn’t get ruined. 🤩😋

Been coming here since I was a small toddler. My dad was taking me here. The donuts are always fresh and the people are so sweet. Sprinkle cake donuts are probably the best I ever had! Their ham and cheese breakfast croissants are the bomb, even the jalapeño ones too! Some other favs. maple bar, chocolate and plain twist, jelly filled doughnut, cinnamon roll, apple fritter,

The workers are so sweet and will add in if you’ve done it holes and sometimes a couple extra donuts. You can’t beat the kindness and the quality and cost. I hope they never got a business. ...

So I read the reviews where everyone complains about the two ladies. Maybe those people caught them on a bad day. To me, they were extremely nice.

What did I like about this review, the service. I was not a fan of the donuts or the breakfast sandwich. The donuts were very doughy. They are not what I was used to. The breakfast sandwich has 2 scoops of butter on it. Not sure why they put it on top.
