I visited the Black Knight tonight for the first time and I'm so glad I did! My friend and I went for happy hour. There are daily rotating specials. Today they offered $7 wine on tap with a free flatbread or cheese board with the purchase of 4 glasses or a bottle. They had a cabernet and pinot as well as a sauvignon blanc. Merlot is also in the mix, but they were out of it. We tried all of them. I especially enjoyed the Cabernet. It had notes of stonefruit and blackberry. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but my friend was pleased. We tried a bacon-goat cheese flatbread dressed with arugula and accompanied by a balsamic vinaigrette reduction. VERY TASTY. Looking at the menu after the fact this flatbread usually includes brie and truffle oil. They don't want to give those away since it usually costs $20. It was still worth it. The space is dark with an open floor plan. There are lots of two-tops in the middle of the room and booths against the walls. A patio is available facing Newport Blvd with gas torches. Flatscreens were mounted everywhere showing ESPN and music videos. The playlist ran the gamut from Florence and the Machine to Lil Wayne and Drake. There are at least a dozen beers on tap and at least as many canned and bottle options - full bar of course. The service was top-notch!!! Five Stars. This is a great place to visit before going to the movies or bowling both of which are available at the Triangle.

Good food! We had a sweet and attentive server- Alexa (super adorable outfits they were all wearing, all of the girls I saw were beautiful) the atmosphere was nice, we sat outside-comfortable, romantic area with the lights and couches. The music was a good mix and I ate so many different things, no complaints at all, dessert was fantastic too . If I had to pick a favorite, it would be filet mignon skewers- those were off the chain! I only posted one in the pic because it smelled so good I couldn’t wait but it comes with 2

Omg I’ve been to so many expensive steakhouses trying to get a decent fillet mignon and who knew I would find it at some random gastropub! Not only was it decent I would have to say it is one of the best fillets I’ve ever had. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The lobster was gigantic and cooked The baked potato was delish even though I’m lactose intolerant and I couldn’t have butter but the chef gave me a side of gravy that made the potato next level. I will def be coming back.

POORLY MANAGED. GONE DOWN. It is time; time for a review. I have been going here for years, and my wife and I are just over it now. It is being run by a bunch of rude, middle-aged, bitter woman. I used to think maybe they didn't like my wife, but over the past couple months, I realized they are disgraceful to most women. If you're a single MAN, DON'T GO THERE. Any remotely pretty girl is greeted by smirks, shunning, and nasty behavior. Maybe it should be a gay bar. The food is BEYOND MEDIOCRE. It is clearly under poor management. There are a couple good waitresses. However, 2 people don't make up for a disgusting staff. HIRE SOME MALES. HIRE SOME YOUNG FEMALES. DON'T POOL TIPS ( ASSUMING HERE). WE FINALLY GAVE UP ON THIS PLACE. Yard House and Vida Restaurant are much better options. If you're the Owner, and you've noticed a decline in your business, HEED THIS. Change...
