Lovely Salon & Cosmetic Center — Local services in Costa Mesa

I was just recently out to california to visit my girlfriend of 25 years. We wanted to do something fun and exciting since we hadnt seen eachother in quite some time. Going out was a no-brainer, but we wanted this to be better than any other trip we had previously ever been on. We had already done the massages and hair thing and didnt want to do them again so when we saw Lovely Lashes advertised we immediately started researching. The gal that owns the Salon, Jackie Dark was gracious & fun and told us all about the life cycle of the eye lash and the extensive training that each one of her "lash girls" go through before they can start on as true employee. The Lovely Lashes salon is as fun as the owner is, she has done it up with an old hollywood feel. Lots of Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich black and whites along with her upbeat hot pink and black decor. As she toured us through the salon she showed us all of her sterilizing techniques, and selection of all her different lashes. We were laid down on a black leather beds and our feet were covered with a ultra shek fluffy blankets. My "lash girl" Erika did a fantastic job on my lashes, they look and feel real, not at all fake. She explained the entire process to me and I could over hear my girl friends "lash girl" Janero, telling her informative information as well. We chatted and laughed the entire time our full set of lashes were applied. When done and we each sat up, we could not believe how fantastic we both looked. We screamed even screamed in delight. Our night out on the town was a huge success, but not as much as the day after....Never, Ever have I ever woke up from a night on the town looking like the movie star I saw when I looked in the mirror. Ladies, YOU HAVE TO GET THIS DONE....Oh, and the shower, are you kidding me? You never have to wear mascara again. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, MY LASHES and want everyone to know how wonderful they are and how much better I feel about myself and how much time I can save getting ready....LOVELY LASHES...

Don’t do it! I had wanted to get eyelash extensions forever. So, when the group on came up, I was extremely excited to try them out. I went in for a full set of lashes. Being my first time I did not know what to expect. The place seemed relaxing and pleasant enough. When I was seated, Nancy asked me what I wanted. Well obviously, I had no idea what to ask for. So, I asked her what the options where? She pulled out a tube of individual lashes with different sizes and asked me to pick. Which I thought was pretty odd that they didn’t have any examples. Not knowing what to expect I simply asked for full and dramatic. What I got was long and thin.. My real eyelashes were clumped together and it actually looked worse. The fake lashes where so long that they actually started poking me in the eye! Now my real eyelashes are falling out with the...

So Kelsey gives a great result and has a funny personable personality BUT ....this might be due to their lack of air conditioning but last time I went there a couple months ago to get a full Brazilian, it literally took over an hour and I was about ready to give up at the 45 minute mark and walk away without it done because it was that painful. I hope they have air conditioning now because that was torture. Due to body heat and the heat from the weather and lack of AC, the sugar doesn't pull the hair correctly so she had to go over and over and over the same spot to get the hair to come out. They did have remodeling shortly after I visited so hopefully that included AC..but I will not visit again because it was just too painful for me to...
