Stopped in at Palm n’ Patties for lunch while in the area and found it to be a clean, small spot tucked inside the OC Mix food court. Seating is limited to a few two-tops both inside and outside, but it works well for a quick bite. Ordering is done electronically through a touch screen, which was quick and easy when I went, though I could see it slowing down if the place gets crowded.
I went with the Grilled Smash — their smash burger topped simply with grilled onions, American cheese, and their house-made Pn’P sauce — along with a side of their fresh hand-cut fries. The burger itself was very tasty. It’s on the smaller side, but it delivers plenty of flavor. The creaminess of the American cheese really tied it together, and the Pn’P sauce was excellent — a touch of spice, subtle but noticeable, that elevated the whole thing. I also appreciated the upside-toasted buns, which added a nice extra layer of texture with each bite.
The fries were just okay for me. They were a bit too finely cut, almost like the crumbs at the bottom of a chip bag. That said, pairing them with the house sauce made them much more enjoyable.

Read moreWent for the grand opening and I see they took over Taco Maria’s spot in SoCo, this Sunday and I split the grilled smash and cheeseburger with my nephew and we also ordered fries. The smash burgers were tasty and majority of our party would choose the grilled smash over the two but just one is not enough. It’s fairly similar to In-N-Out so I do wish they had a double patty version or sneak in another bun option. The fries were decent just wished bigger pieces of fries, especially since we paid for...
Read moreI was excited to try this place but was was very disappointed. My buns were cold, the fries were soggy. Drinks are limited and the food was over all bland. You need to add extra Sauce/spread (which you have to pay extra. And it's a little pricey for a dumbell cheese burger and cheddar fries was around $30+ no drink. I had to enter the order myself and then the machine asked if I wanted to leve a tip. The employees looked like they didn't want...
