What a great discovery! I immediately fell in love with this place the moment I had it. Workers are friendly, and I met the owners and they're really sweet as well.

What distinguishes this place above other poke places are their fresh ingredients, sauces (i had #2 spicy + signature sauce which was off the hook), and the friend onion toppings! Definitely don't feel guilty after having a meal here@ Size wise, I'm a small girl so medium was good for me and actually more on the really full side haha their portions are pretty generous (but if you eat a decent amount, go for large).

I regualrly eat poke at the branch in Newport and absolutely love it. However, the food at this branch was truly, utterly, horrifying. The place had a rotten fish smell, a huge red flag for a poke place! My suspicion was sadly confirmed when I took my first bite of the albacore. My stomach turned as I tasted the slightly sour fish that was on its way to going bad. The spicy tuna was a chore to eat, completely masked by intense salty flavor, probably to hide fish that was going bad. The server, a shorter young woman, did not know how to make a poke bowl, sounded impatient/ curt (even though I was the only customer) and mixed all the separate proteins/toppings on my bowl so that it felt like i was eating out of a trough and couldn't taste individual items....

We have now been here twice! This is our new go to for reasonably inexpensive reasonably healthy (depending on the topping you choose.) delicious food. It's pretty simple and standard options as far a poke goes but everything was really fresh. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the spicy tuna was a touch fishy the second time we went but in fairness to them it was 25 minutes before close. What helped was that even though it was almost closing, when I asked for toppings that it looked like they were out of for the day, the employee actually went in the back and grabbed some instead of just telling me they were out.
