Update 07/18/2025
I came to prepare the rest of the Chipotle order for my family and noticed that I was only given 5 tortillas instead of the 6 I paid for. I wasn’t originally planning to follow up, but since I now have to go there anyway due to the missing tortilla, I’ll also take the opportunity to ask why I was charged for sour cream.
I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it, but having to return for something I already paid for makes it reasonable to address both issues at once, in shā Allāh.
Will post the outcome in shā Allāh l.
…………………………………. 07/17/2025 I’ve been eating at Chipotle for as long as I can remember and have always appreciated the quality and service—for the most part.
The exception has been the Chipotle in Hopkins, which, in my experience, has offered some of the worst service I’ve encountered. Unfortunately, it now seems like the Chipotle in Cottage Grove is heading in the same direction—charging without explanation.
I placed an order for three bowls, along with 3 sides of sour cream, 2 hot sauces, 2 guacamoles, and 6 tortillas. When I reviewed my receipt, I noticed a $1.60 charge for sides.
In all my years ordering at Chipotle, I’ve never been charged for sour cream as a side, and no one mentioned that there would be a fee. I accounted for the guac and tortillas, so I can only assume the charge was for the sour cream.
This isn’t about the money—ma shā Allāh Tabārak Allāh, $1.60 won’t break my account—but it’s about the principle. Customers at the very least deserve clear communication and transparency.
To add, the food was overly salty—I’m not sure if it was the fajitas or the combination of everything mixed together, but it was noticeably off. A bit disappointing overall.
Just sharing this for awareness, because being charged without warning or served food that isn’t up to par leaves a bad taste—no matter how good...
Read moreI wish I had better things to say about this particular location. So many issues I’m sure I’ll forget to mention some. The worst part I think is the music is already too loud yet the cooks only 5 feet away have their ghetto rap music playing over the restaurant music and it’s constantly dropping the f-bomb. The cook doesnt seem to wear gloves, and he wears sweat pants-that sag! Also, I used he rest room which was very clean (props on that), I left my scarf in the ladies room when I walked out....turned back around to grab it and the cook in the saggy sweat pants went in.....I had to wait almost 10 minuets for him to exit the ladies room to grab it.....and he was not cleaning it, I might add. The staff is not very friendly to each other and short with customers. I don’t really know how it’s possible to mess up an order with the way chipotle has it’s menu items set up but somehow they always mess up the order at this location. They have charged me incorrectly several times as well.
Edit: today’s experience a month later was somewhat better. All females working, the music was at a decent volume, but they were definitely ore stingy than usual with portions. Everything was extremely spicy and every seat in the house was dirty. It was nearly 3pm and only one other table eating so there is no reason the whole place should...
Read moreI would like to share with the world how unprofessional and trashy this location is. I came in for my regular bowl that I’ve gotten all my life of going to chipotle and I was haggle and treated like dirt over asking for extra cheese. The Latino man making my bowl Monday, April 1 at around noon was so disrespectful, condescending and rude. If I ever see his face again, I think I could actually slap him. The manager Jacqueline is trash as well. She doesn’t even call customers back when they have a complaint. I visited the store two times to try and give a complaint about how the worker treated me and she has yet to even call me back. I highly recommend you stay away from this location. There are plenty of other chipotles to visit who treat their customers like decent human beings. Jacqueline, if you’re reading this, I think you need to freshen up on your managing skills because you’re not doing a good job. Also if this location ever tries to charge you for extra cheese just know it’s a lie. I went online to order a bowl on the website and it doesn’t even charge you. They lie and pick and choose who they want to up charge. I have no problem paying for extra toppings IF that was the case. I used to work for chipotle and this was never a rule. Jacqueline if your reading...
