Update 07/18/2025 I came to prepare the rest of the Chipotle order for my family and noticed that I was only given 5 tortillas instead of the 6 I paid for. I wasn’t originally planning to follow up, but since I now have to go there anyway due to the missing tortilla, I’ll also take the opportunity to ask why I was charged for sour cream. I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it, but having to return for something I already paid for makes it reasonable to address both issues at once, in shā Allāh. Will post the outcome in shā Allāh l. …………………………………. 07/17/2025 I’ve been eating at Chipotle for as long as I can remember and have always appreciated the quality and service—for the most part. The exception has been the Chipotle in Hopkins, which, in my experience, has offered some of the worst service I’ve encountered. Unfortunately, it now seems like the Chipotle in Cottage Grove is heading in the same direction—charging without explanation. I placed an order for three bowls, along with 3 sides of sour cream, 2 hot sauces, 2 guacamoles, and 6 tortillas. When I reviewed my receipt, I noticed a $1.60 charge for sides. In all my years ordering at Chipotle, I’ve never been charged for sour cream as a side, and no one mentioned that there would be a fee. I accounted for the guac and tortillas, so I can only assume the charge was for the sour cream. This isn’t about the money—ma shā Allāh Tabārak Allāh, $1.60 won’t break my account—but it’s about the principle. Customers at the very least deserve clear communication and transparency. To add, the food was overly salty—I’m not sure if it was the fajitas or the combination of everything mixed together, but it was noticeably off. A bit disappointing overall. Just sharing this for awareness, because being charged without warning or served food that isn’t up to par leaves a bad taste—no matter how good it used to be.

I stopped going to Chipotle after having a bad experience a year ago in a location in another city. This past week I decided to give it a try again and decided to try the Cottage Grove location a chance to earn back my business. I showed up a little after 9:00 p.m. and the sign light was off. I thought maybe they closed at 9:00p.m. I looked on google and it showed they were still open. Sure enough, I went and tried the door and it was open. I went inside and immediately was taken back by how dirty the store was. This was the same experience I had a year ago at another location. The worker seemed put out to be helping me. I was debating on walking out because the food looked like it had been sitting there for a long time. I ended up getting a burrito and chose the chicken because it looked a little better than the other meat selections. The burrito ended up being good, but I had to try not to think about how dirty the whole store was including where my food was being made. I took pictures of the store as I was leaving to show I'm not making this up. The garbages were overflowing, the drink area was filthy, there was stuff all over the floor, the tables were filthy. I gave Chipotle another try, but I won't be going back for a long time.

I hate to give low stars. If I feel that visit was pretty rough, I'll try the place out again to give it a fair shake. Not this place. It's a one star. Less if possible. I ordered a chicken fajita bowl. At first they didn't put the vegetables in, then they didn't put any meat in. Then when they put the meat in, it was a few crumbs. Gee thanks. Then they're just throwing the fixings "into" the bowl to the point they're just throwing them out onto the counter and into the other fixings containers. Garbage. My order looked like trash. Not appealing at all. Thanks. Then the kid ringing people was in training. We all have to be trained to do a job, but don't put him on the register at dinner time on a Friday night. Then he kept combining people's food and trying to ring them. No matter how many times you'd tell him that's yours, he'd grab it again and try to ring it on someone else's order. Then as he would ask someone for help, they would come over wearing gloves, ring on the register, then take money (WHILST WEARING GLOVES) and go back to making food. WEARING THE SAME GLOVES! Come on. The place was just a disaster. This place just doesn't have it together. Don't come to this Chipotle. Just don't. I really hope this helps. Cheers.

I wish I had better things to say about this particular location. So many issues I’m sure I’ll forget to mention some. The worst part I think is the music is already too loud yet the cooks only 5 feet away have their ghetto rap music playing over the restaurant music and it’s constantly dropping the f-bomb. The cook doesnt seem to wear gloves, and he wears sweat pants-that sag! Also, I used he rest room which was very clean (props on that), I left my scarf in the ladies room when I walked out....turned back around to grab it and the cook in the saggy sweat pants went in.....I had to wait almost 10 minuets for him to exit the ladies room to grab it.....and he was not cleaning it, I might add. The staff is not very friendly to each other and short with customers. I don’t really know how it’s possible to mess up an order with the way chipotle has it’s menu items set up but somehow they always mess up the order at this location. They have charged me incorrectly several times as well.

Edit: today’s experience a month later was somewhat better. All females working, the music was at a decent volume, but they were definitely ore stingy than usual with portions. Everything was extremely spicy and every seat in the house was dirty. It was nearly 3pm and only one other table eating so there is no reason the whole place should...

I would like to share with the world how unprofessional and trashy this location is. I came in for my regular bowl that I’ve gotten all my life of going to chipotle and I was haggle and treated like dirt over asking for extra cheese. The Latino man making my bowl Monday, April 1 at around noon was so disrespectful, condescending and rude. If I ever see his face again, I think I could actually slap him. The manager Jacqueline is trash as well. She doesn’t even call customers back when they have a complaint. I visited the store two times to try and give a complaint about how the worker treated me and she has yet to even call me back. I highly recommend you stay away from this location. There are plenty of other chipotles to visit who treat their customers like decent human beings. Jacqueline, if you’re reading this, I think you need to freshen up on your managing skills because you’re not doing a good job. Also if this location ever tries to charge you for extra cheese just know it’s a lie. I went online to order a bowl on the website and it doesn’t even charge you. They lie and pick and choose who they want to up charge. I have no problem paying for extra toppings IF that was the case. I used to work for chipotle and this was never a rule. Jacqueline if your reading...
