We are VERY disappointed in our sons reserved Birthday party we had at this location. We booked our party over two months ago with Julie. Julie was very pleasant and helpful with our booking. Unfortunately she wasn’t present today, because if she had been, maybe our experience would have been different.
We arrived at opening at 11am to start setting up our party. Upon arrival 4 different employees couldn’t find our reservation. Apparently they “needed another set of eyes to turn a page and see it.” At least that is what (Jennifer?) stated. We were told we were in the room on the left. No other information was given. None. (On the phone Julie had said it’s an open style room, come and go as we please, use the arcade, and pay for the folks that were eating up front. Cool. We did that. Paid for single transactions up front each time) one younger gal stopped in the room and cleaned plates once. We had stacks and stacks on a table with no one stopping to say a word. Until 2 younger employees and an older woman came barging in stating, “we have a busy lobby and a party coming in. You need to leave.” We were in the middle of opening presents, and were never given a time frame in which we had to exit the room. Not once were we even told that there was a time limit. The professional way, would have had someone stopping in. Checking in, and just maybe giving us a friendly reminder that the room was good for two hours only. (Which we were never told) it was handled very unprofessionally. We were paying customers and they acted like the busy lobby was more important. We spent quite a bit of money thinking that we would be treated better than other local party places. Nope. I wish I would have spent the $400 at Chuck E Cheese. At least there you get a kind party host, and people cleaning up for you.
Meanwhile, our guests were helping us carry unopened gifts out of the room. Tacky. I asked to speak to the manager. (Cue being called a Karen 🤪) She stated that before December 31st that stuff wasn’t organized. Umm ok? What does that have to do with a scheduled party months in advance? We were never told there was a party package, I’m assuming this is a new thing? Either way, the employee said we could pay up front. What?? We already paid! You never stopped by once, you never mentioned anything? Now we can pay up front? We didn’t have anything to pay! This baffles me. Super unorganized. A busy lobby obviously takes precedence. We were also told by the manager on duty to, “you’re better off just calling and speaking to Julie. We are busy.” No one took ownership. No one had answers to simple questions. No one even gave us any information on what they supposedly wanted us to do. Instead, barged in. Told us to get out, and stormed away. The managers excuse? -Julie had Covid so she was out for a week. -Julie isn’t here. So we just don’t know what’s going on with the reservations. -Julie is who you need to call.
Julie. I feel for you. But every one of your employees, handed off the job to you. Even when you weren’t present. I’m sorry, but you obviously carry the place.
Ultimately, we cannot recommend. Julie was a pleasure to work with. Training is needed at this location unfortunately. Even my guests said they wouldn’t return, and how tacky and unprofessional it was.
Bummed. We were hoping for so much more.
Also, my guests had to wait 20 minutes for fresh chicken. Not usually an issue, but when my guests were eating the chicken that never came, we were abruptly...
Read moreMy husband and I went the Cottage Grove Pizza Ranch for dinner tonight. We have previously been at this location and although not thrilled with having to wait for food or ask for them to replenish the food we thought we would give it one last try. No chicken again, dressing was almost empty and stuck to this side of the serving dish. I asked if they could bring out some more, they said they would. Waited along with several other people some of whom were waiting to fill take out containers. I had also suggested they wipe down the food area as green beans and French fries were all over the counter. Thought I would get a salad and wait. Salad area was a disaster as well. I did finally get a piece of chicken which was pink inside and like rubber. The desert area had nothing and I also asked about that. They Brought three chocolate chip cookies which you could not scoop out as they were not cooked all the way through. We decided to leave but before we left I did ask the girl as the register if a Manager was on duty tonight, she said she would get the Manager. She came back and said the Manager was busy. I could not believe this. My opinion is that the Pizza Ranch will not be open long treating customers like this. I left knowing I was never coming back to this restaurant and would never recommend this to anyone. Food is not available, I have had to wait every time I have gone there. Seems to be operated by teenagers that care nothing about customer service or cleanliness of the food area. A Manager that says they are too busy to speak with a dissatisfied customer should be fired. Along with the rude cashier that said " you can leave a google review". I said I would be doing that and her response was " I can't wait to read it. Well here it...
Read moreCame to this location and waited at the counter to be helped for over 5 min. Several employees wandered about and ignored us as we stood their waiting for someone to take out money. Several employees peeked their heads out from where the drive through window was and saw us there, but made no attempt to get anyone or come help. When the woman finally came to the register there was no "sorry for the wait"; just "what do need?" "How many?" "Your total is..."
There were only two people seated inside when we arrived. The pizza buffet from the start looked bad. Half pizzas with some that had different pizzas mixed together on one pan looked like they'd been there for a very long time. None of the pizzas were marked which resulted in not only our family but another behind us serving children spicy chicken pizza. The other family's child broke down in tears crying about how spicy it was. Adding pizzas to the buffet was slow going.
Every single table in that restaurant was filthy dirty. Dishes stacked on every single one. Totally unacceptable considering there were only 2 guests there and at least 6 employees who ignored us when we first got there. Employees walked by them several times and did nothing to remove them. It wasn't until more guests began to arrive that they began to clean the tables. Not once did anyone come and remove our plates while we were there.
Not worth the almost $40 spent for 2 adults. Rude and poor customer service. In fact, we went to ask for our money back and we couldn't...
