I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this establishment. I placed an order for a green juice online using a different email, and the payment was processed successfully. I received a text message with a digital receipt to confirm the order. However, when I arrived to pick up my juice, there was confusion regarding the email used for the order.
I politely explained the situation, showing the staff member my receipt multiple times and providing the email associated with the order. To my shock, the staff member's attitude was extremely rude, as if I had walked in with the intent to steal a juice. I tried to resolve the situation amicably, even offering to log into my profile to verify the email used for the order.
Frustrated by the lack of cooperation and the prospect of a 20-minute wait for a new juice, I decided to step away to get the Wi-Fi password and check my email for confirmation. During this time, the staff member carelessly placed my drink on the counter and muttered, "HERE YOU GO." I thanked her for the drink, but it was evident that they were not interested in providing reasonable customer service.
What makes matters worse is that later in the day, I received a text message from the owner accusing me of not paying for the drink, solely because the order was placed under a different email. I had already shown my receipt in the store, but it seemed that no one was willing to listen. When I attempted to call and resolve the payment matter, I was told to message the store's social media page on Instagram, which only added to the frustration.
I find it incredibly disheartening that this situation was mishandled not only by the staff but also by the owner. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for two decades and is a small business owner myself, I have never encountered such abysmal customer service. Instead of investigating the payment issue thoroughly, the owner's response was accusatory and lacked any understanding of my perspective. It's clear that they don't take responsibility for their business or their customers.
To make matters worse, the owner Jacob and the staff member that provided the terrible customer service Ellie, took it upon themselves to stalk my business page, which is an entirely unethical and unprofessional tactic. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated, and I strongly advise others to think twice before patronizing this establishment. Their business practices and lack of respect for customers are beyond appalling.
Not only was my experience with their service appalling, but their prices are also significantly higher than the average. Given the abundance of other vegan options available, it's utterly unnecessary to tolerate being treated like an inconvenience or a thief. There are far more customer-friendly alternatives out there, and I strongly encourage anyone seeking vegan options to explore those alternatives...
Read moreUpdating reviews down from 5 stars to 2. I ordered a pick up of a smoothie bowl and a smoothie which was to be ready at 11:25. My husband went to pick up prior to an appointment. He was on time and the order was not ready until 11:48. That is 23 minutes later than quoted. I am patient but not that patient for this order that is supposed to be their bread and butter - it’s nothing we ordered that is complicated. My husband said there were 3 people working: 1 standing around, 1 taking orders but there wasn’t a constant flow of orders, and 1 working at a slow pace.
Super bummed.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Updating from 4 stars to 5. I ordered the Rooster several times since my last post and it’s been perfect every time!
We really love JB Wellness! I have been waiting for something like this to be nearby. Orders can take a long time but are worth the wait + you can order online. We love the Jake and Açaí bowls. I also love the Rooster but the reason I am giving a 4 and not a 5 is that it’s very inconsistent… half the time it’s delicious and the other half it’s warm and has too much cocoa in it. It’s not cheap so can be disappointing. But overall really love...
Read moreA great place to get a whole food meal that's actually delicious and reasonably priced. Taking off one star for two reasons:
There is a SHARP contrast in flavor on the smoothie bowls between the cold smoothie part and the warm dry peanut butter topping. It would be nice if the PB was colder so as to not have that stark difference. Or perhaps layer it by having the PB lie between two layers of smoothie. The business is cashless, but they charge a "convenience fee" to cover to use of the payment software. This is unethical because the customer has no other option of payment. It's one thing if they take cash and cards, and charge a percentage for the card payments; it's another when the only payment method they have is also essentially being paid for by the customer with each transaction. It's a small percentage (4% IIRC), but not something that should be paid by the customer.
That last item makes me wary of spending or recommending the place; it's just bad optics (though I'm sure many don't mind or are oblivious because the...
