I wake up and feel the flyaways flutter away from my head, as I open my crusty eyes. I walk slowly to the bathroom through the dark forest of the closet, beyond the shirts and pants to safely make it to the light. I turn on the light and see my reflection in the mirror as I jump, not recognizing the woman on the other side. Eyes drooping, as I drag myself into the shower. Water hits, and I slowly gain energy by the water hitting my face. Brain activity starts to come back to normal, as I see the time on my clock and rush to get to work. I get in the beast of metal and drive to where the happiest place on earth is; a local coffee shop. The fuel of espresso in the morning is what gets me going, and it’s what I look forward to every single day. As I pull up to the hut, I see the hard workers busting out coffees left to right with customers on both sides waiting for their fuel. Finally, after a long five minutes it is my turn to pull up to the window and submit my order. As I am a child in the driver seat waiting for my baba, I pay $5.35 for the glorious Ivory Mocha that I ordered. I am handed the drink, and drive off quickly, as my shift starts in 13 minutes from this point. I zoom through the jungle of traffic on the freeway and get to my final destination. I sip on my coffee and only taste milk and syrup. I look in the glorious cup and see nothing but a field of snow; where’s the espresso? I take another sip hoping that over the last 10 seconds the coffee magically changed by itself, but it didn’t. I ordered coffee, but received milk. At this point in morning huddle, I was astounded and stunned by the disappointment I received from the one drink I wanted most this morning. Reflecting back on my morning, it could have been much worse. But not having coffee comes pretty close to death, so you can just schedule my...
Read moreI used to go to Java Jo’s daily . Twice sometimes three times a day for 15 years straight. I used to be a regular until today because of a very disrespectful barista (CALI) who started maybe 6 months ago. I get the same drink and have for years. It wasn’t made correctly so I made a comment . And next thing I know she’s arguing with me and getting mad saying well I work here and know wnd I commented back saying yes and I’ve been getting the same drink. Long story short she was way out of line . I paid for my drink and I’m waiting for it as she’s yelling at me pretty much shooing me like a fly saying to go .. but they had my drink in their hand and didn’t even give me a straw . I said I would love to go if I could get my drink. And when I asked her why she was arguing with me over that. Her response was “matching your energy”. She can go match energy’s with her friend not a regular who supported a small business for over a decade and did nothing wrong . She needs to control her tone and anger issues while working for a business . Disappointed that I have to stop drinking one of the best coffees because of how rude these girls are . She’s also a brat daily if you don’t tip her . Like you want tips? Then be nice!! Literally gives a dirty look and slams the window if you don’t tip her. Get a higher paying job if you’re going to be rude because you didn’t get a tip. The manger and almost all the other girls in this location are amazing . But people need to realize that just because they work somewhere doesn’t give them permission to be brats to the paying customers . Also this was my second javas coffee of the day. I spend way too much money there to always have to be scared of the mean girls who...
Read moreThis place is a nice place to get your quick fix of good morning coffee. been visiting them for straight 2 months now. however today one of the worker was covered with dog hair. I reluctantly gave her my tumbler to make coffee. I told her that she was covered with dog hair and it was very unappotizing for me. she did not understood my intention that I would not appreciate having dog hair going into my coffee. so I paid for the coffee and dumped it out right away. A coffee place should not only offer good quality coffee. but must also meet hygenic standards. Just because one has loving dogs at home. does not mean you gotta show up to work covered in furr. I will still get coffee fromJava Jo's, but I will request a...
