My wife and I went into the store and ordered two pizzas, clearly specifying no onions due to allergies my son and wife have. When we got home and prepared to cook them, we discovered onions on both pizzas. My wife asked me to handle the situation, so I called the store. The owner asked me to bring the pizzas back and offered a refund. Keep in mind I didn't ask for one this was his resolution.
However, when I arrived, his wife had issues with processing the refund. She cited theft concerns, explaining that they frequently have people taking pizzas without paying, though she maintained that she wasn't implying that about me. After some back-and-forth with her and her husband on the phone, he claimed that I had not purchased my pizzas from their store and outright refused to refund me. Instead, they suggested throwing the pizzas in the trash and offered no solution to remake them.
I've been a loyal customer for quite some time, so it was frustrating to be treated as if I didn’t know which restaurant I had been frequenting for years. While the owner’s wife was polite, she continually misgendered me, referring to me as "she," despite my attempts to correct her. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional that she kept doing it. Overall, this experience was not what I expect from a business I’ve supported for so long.
In the end I felt as though I was being called a liar or a thief which I did not appreciate nor do I appreciate her husband wasting my time by asking me to bring these pizzas back into the restaurant only to be told that the best they could do is throw them in the trash and ask me to leave without being made whole. The wife claimed that their system wasn't sophisticated enough to track an order from the previous day and in my opinion there is no place into today's economy for a business that doesn't keep accurate records and then passes the blame and loss onto their customers instead of taking out of their own pockets.
Needless to say we won't be returning to this location. After all there are a dozen other Papa Murphy's in the valley so I'm sure one of the will be more than happy to gain our business.
Here's a picture of one of the pizzas. Not only were we not able to eat it because of the onions but it certainly did not look appetizing and was slopped together. There's more crust than anything else on this pizza. Very...
Read moreI walked in to order a pizza as my attempts to order online for this location wouldn't work. I was greeted with "Are you Emily?" I quickly realized that Emily is someone who they were waiting on to pick up her pizza as they seemed annoyed that I wasn't she and still had to wait on me. I came in about ten minutes before closing and on a Friday night, I didn't realize they closed at 8 until I was rudely received. At any rate, they took my order and I asked if cookie dough was still available and if I could order some-I shouldn't have to ask if it was still available but that's how they made me feel. I was told no it's not available any more at this time as he looked at the container across the room. I took a seat and then noticed 3 cookie dough containers on the shelf behind their curtain. I could have reached in and taken what I needed and would have been happy to take it to the register since the worker was unwilling to do that. It's offensive to me that he wouldn't wait on me knowing cookie dough was right there and must have decided I didn't deserve what I wanted because it was close to closing time. Sadly, I was excited to make cookies with my family tonight. Not that it was a huge sale, but the company lost money tonight because I was not allowed to order cookie dough and more so because I won't be returning. I work in healthcare where I would never dream of denying anything to a patient, and especially just yesterday when a family member was not expected to live. I just simply can't imagine why giving a customer another item they requested at a pizza store is such an ordeal that I am told no. Customer service is what...
Read moreI wish I had better to say about this place, the last few times we’ve gone and mind you spend over 100 dollars each time for our family…. But I’m getting really upset and after yesterday I’m beyond frustrated. We have CELIACS, it is not a choice we don’t eat wheat, it’s a medical necessity. Every time we have gone these last few times they don’t seem to understand what that means. I don’t feel like paying for a hospital visit or being in that much pain, on my way to a hospital! I called in yesterday to have them fix giving us yet again, wheat I called and told them what happened the kid arrogantly told me, we don’t have a manger here I can’t help you. I told him could you write something down, he goes yeah, I’ll try… guess what still haven’t got not only my refund of you trying to poison us, but also still haven’t heard back so I decided to leave this to help others who can’t eat wheat to sadly avoid using them, they charge, you even tip… they poison you, and you keep trying to get help, and they ignore you. So I’m sorry to leave such a crummy review, but stop doing things like this and people won’t. The other three orders before this, I also had to have remade. This is my 4th...
