The food is good, prices fair for being in the lodge and the floor staff is friendly but lacks leadership. It was busy today bc of "interlodge", which I completely understand, but where I lost my patience was the disorganization and lack of fundamental restaurant management. People were seated after me, yet ordered before me. The staff needed some direction yet the manager on the floor "Nabeel", offered zero assistance or guidance. When I asked him what was goin and why the place was in such disarray he had no response and blew me off by saying "thank you for your input" over and over. There was zero listening yet along an apology or anything done to help the situation. He simply walked away with zero regard for my insight, which left me completely befuddled. The table next to me, table 17, was shocked by Nabeels actions and lack of communication and lack of willingness to listen yet alone make things right. After Nabeel walked away I was shocked and all we could do was laugh bc they work in the service industry also and never seen such a demeanor and lack of sympathy and understanding. This resort is 5 stars in my opinion, bc of people like Kali, Kayla and Ashleylynn! These ladies were superstars and understanding where their manager wasn't. They were completely overwhelmed, yet kept smiling and kept their professionslism. Ashleylynn took control while most of the staff didn't understand how to, delivering checks, checking on tables all while running the host stand. I ordered a beer that took forever, but Kayla kept pushing her co-workers to make it happen and I can't tell you what a relief to see her in action, trying while others walked around aimlessly, including Nabeel. Kali pretty much ran the entire floor and kudos to her bc people were losing their patience but she carried on and did her best. The food and these 3 ladies are the ONLY reason for 2 stars. They need to be recognized for their excellent work while Nabeel needs to understand his job and his lack of talent when it comes to running the floor. Thank you again Kali, Kayla and Ashleylynn for salvaging my experience, you...
Read moreWe have gone to both the Atrium and Aerie several times for Mother’s Day. In prior years, we always left impressed with the service AND food. But this year at the Atrium? An absolute disappointment, on the food only (service and views were great). I intentionally reserved a sitting at opening, thinking that would deliver the freshest serving of food. But instead? It was nearly ALL over cooked (especially the lamb chops), very dry, and had been sitting for a long time before they opened. Even the basic stuff was quite disappointing: burned bacon, very dry / stale French toast and bruschetta that had very little taste and was a bit stale. The prime rib was very good. My family and so eat out all the time at all price ranges (even going to the Bachannal buffet in Vegas when possible), and as we left my 16 y/o son said “I think I like Golden Coral” better than this. Might have just been a bad year or poor chief chef, but whatever the cause this year’s Atrium Mather’s Day Brunch DID NOT MEET SNOWBIRD’s standards, especially at $550...
Read moreI'm almost at four stars just for the bacon and sausage. They are very good.
I've eaten here a number of times for breakfast, both paid for by the company and even with my own money. That says something. Historically, the breakfast has been a straight forward copy of any business class hotel for business class hotel money. In other words, run away. It still walks that line, but that bacon and sausage saves things.
The facility is excellent. The service is spotty. It usually starts out well, but after getting that first cup of coffee, it's going to be tough to get another one. I don't think I've ever had the server stop by regularly until after hunting them down. So, in the end, it's pretty good, but I'd go elsewhere if there were other options I thought better. I'm not here during ski season, so the options...
