If I could give a negative 10 stars, that is what the East Broadway Taco Johns would get. I had to argue with a man in the drive-thru that I ordered 2 chicken tacos with my meal and he insisted I ordered 1, even though the receipt showed 2 and I paid for 2. Evidently reading is not a strong skill for the man. Sent my bag back in to fix my order because I was shorted food. When I got home, I didn't have 2 chicken tacos, I had 2 beef tacos. I went back and walked in and that same man was at the counter. I reminded him that I was just there and ordered 2 chicken tacos and he spoke up and said "you got 2 chicken tacos". THAT was a bit upsetting due to the fact he didn't even check what I brought back in. So I took the tacos out of the bag and opened them up fully so he could see I did not get chicken, they were beef. He walked away without a word and the manager came up and asked if I wanted my money back or the food. I wanted the food I ordered and paid for! Because this location always shorts me food, I try to check my order now, and didn't really think I needed to literally unwrap each item to make sure it was right. The man I dealt with should not be in any type of customer service at all, and the rest of the staff that doesn't give two hoots about what they're doing should be re-trained on how to complete an order. I told the cashier to swipe it again there is money on there. He swiped it again and for a second time my card was declined I then parked and checked my card app on my phone. Upon checking I noticed my card had been charged twice. I then went inside to talk to the manager showed her my proof and was told that since the cash register did not open is why my card got declined. Since when using a card does the cash register open without asking for a cash back at food chain! She then gave me the number to corporate and told me to call them. I had to leave without my food they had charged me for and she also told me I would get a refund in 3 to 5 business days. I know it’s been a long time since I worked fast food is this the way...
Read moreI went into the Taco John's on East Broadway yesterday. My husband ordered a burrito and a soda. I ordered a #11 Jalapeños Ranch combo. The man behind the counter was rude and rang in my order wrong. I ended up with the cilantro lime #11. It was not my favorite, but that wasn't the worst part. The taco had hair in it. I checked the receipt and saw he rang it wrong and noticed the cashiers' name was Julie B. Unless Julie is a man, they are using each other's cash drawers and not wearing name tags. So I can't pinpoint which dark-haired guy took our order. I threw my food away as no employees were available to help. Bad service, bad food. The remodel took out their condiment bar, and every chair in the lobby is plastic like a cheap patio chair. Wobbly. My husband put this place on our bad spot- boycott list. Avoid it!
