😢Alpha o mega has been my go to spot since sophomore year it was a traditional for at least 12 years. Under new management since the first day I encountered that Spanish bar looking lady it was a mess. All because I had questions on where the one and only chef who has keep the the traditional taste of the plates I was responded with a dirty state bad attitude and disappointed as if she was working at a bar and made because I wasn't there to accommodate her like most men would. Surprisingly next time I came she had better attitude yet whatever service.12 years of me coming buying food for the home less friends and family not once I been short. Well these last few weeks have been rough I was short 1.89 $ and the sweet server sorry if I'm wrong i think her name is Angela said don't worry pay next time I said ok later once more money was on my card the transaction went through and also when I came back I to then payed so she would know I didn't say anything about the charge on my card. Well today I new I was 2.00 dollars short so I thought I shall ask if I can be given a chance to enjoy my favorite breakfast burrito if and only the guy with the hoop earrings makes it she said no. I respect it because she doesn't have to its my responsibility. But now I became a unsatisfied customer after 12 years under her management. Not only that I see how she treats the only other lady who's been there since I been coming and it's not right to purposely stand in the way when she serving trying to block her passage then lightly tapping her head with a plastic plate. Under this new management it's sad to go there for us who have been going there's for years there was a guy who use to go for 40 years I have not seen him I use to look up an old wanted to beat his record and new I would cause I started going there since 14/15 and sad to say I dont think I'll be able to reach that goal. Unless Angela the hostis who's been there before her gets the position she deserves or someone who doesn't treat the place like a bar where older men with retirement money go I say boycott Alpha omega untill we see better management. Thank you but this will probably be my last time going for a while I mean I can't even expect to get the same taste unless one chef is there and he's usually busy doing inventory 😕 thank you but I don't ever take the time to rate a place unless really good or really bad. I told the old owner the male that soon the business would go out of business shure enough it was sold and I seen 2 different management since...
Read moreOkay so it's under new ownership and it's already a massive turn for the worse. The new owners (who will not be good) sunk money into new signs and lights surrounding the place so now prices are even higher! I've been going here for over 20 years. They also smoke in the patio by the front door now so you deal with that too. My breakfast toast with my ham and cheese omelet WAS PUT ON THE GRILL! Seriously? My toast tasted like whatever garbage was on the grill beforehand. I love bread but I didn't finish my toast because of the massive hamburger meat (and whatever else) taste conflict with my omelette. Potatoes very bland, even after adding salt. My breakfast burrito had a rather large eggshell piece in it that broke in half after I pulled it out (that's how big it was) This place is now just going to become a ruined longstanding place to eat with these new owners. You really don't want to eat here for the prices being charged for what is now average at best food. The only thing that will increase from now on is prices, regardless of inflation. Time to go elsewhere. I miss the way it used to be. Stop going here to force them to sell to someone far more reputable. *All reviews prior to 2022 are no...
Read moreIt's at the corner of S. Citrus Ave & W Badillo St. Open 7am-10pm large menu variety (American Burgers & Classic Sandwiches, Mexican dishes, delicious battered fried zucchini, more). The parking & drive-thru are cramped but the easiest way to enter the windy drive-thru is by driving on Badillo St and approaching the corner of Citrus with this place being on the right side of the street. It's a tight fit for large vehicles but there's parking available. My personal favorite is their pastrami sandwiches ($7.99) full of the thinnest and lean but juicy sliced meat that anyone can chew and their battered and fried generous portion of zucchini with ranch-type dipping sauce. Their regular charbroiled burgers are great but too big for me so I like the Junior Burger with Cheese that is good sized and comes with tomato, sliced onion, and pickles--perfect for smaller bellies. Their french fries are great too and although I haven't tried them for breakfast or the Mexican items, I'm certain they're tasty too since they've always had a lot of business for decades. Milkshakes on the menu too. They have enclosed dining with booths and tables as well as an outdoor patio tables with umbrellas. A...
