Wonderful place. I was just running errands around the area and quickly Google historical places in Covina. The place i visited was closed, then I stumbled into H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha lll by accident. It was mesmerizing, we spent over 3 hours. The art was fantastic, there are no words to express how marvelous each of the painting was. Just at a glance, anyone can say, nice, beautiful colors but the more you stared , you can use your imagination and submerge into different perspectives. There were huge pieces of sculptures that took many years to be completed. Who could have know that these unique pieces of art are worth millions and are not to be reproduced. In all the time that we were there there were only two more visitors. The place was just to our selves and we took all the time to appreciate it. Highly recommend it. No pictures were taken as phones were not recommended. We have to respect the rules. P.S. admission is free just contributed with a...
Read moreThe museum open free to the public. The building is a two floor historic building, with lots of Chinese and western paintings. With so many different style of paintings, I really appreciate the works done by the artist.
There are also a lots of Yun sculptures. Those Yun sculptures are amazing works. They looks like nature caves with rich colors. Looking at those sculptures give me a feeling that I am inside the nature cave, wondering where I am. It really calm down my mind. I was told that it only took very short time by the artist to create those art works. How can he create them? Feel like a mystery to me.
I highly recommend this museum. Spending sometimes to feel and appreciate all the art works here. You may find your inspiration deep inside your mind. Enjoy...
Read moreThis museum is a hidden gem and it's all for free! We had a wonderful time exploring the Asian cultural artwork. I'd never heard of the the main artist, but it's a unique blend of modern and historical styles as well as hyper realism and abstract. There is one art piece you can even touch and it is quite mind boggling.
I particularly enjoyed the occasional poems, I wish I remembered enough Mandarin to read them in the original language.
The volunteers were very sweet and very appreciative of our viewing the artwork. They even gave us a free book with even more artwork and I love some of the pieces in there. This place made me want to find more modern...
