RED DEVIL PIZZA*COVINA* — Restaurant in Covina

I never leave reviews, but this place was a huge disappointment today. My family has gone to this place for years and tonight it went from my favorite pizza shop to easily the worst one. They were an hour late for a pick up on one large pepperoni pizza because they gave our pizza away, the only “compensation” was a free 2 liter and 25% off the next order, which the only way to get it off next time is by somehow trusting they will remember the name the order was under. Why would I even want to come back to a place with service like that?

Edit: People make mistakes, but the customer service you provide people when you make the mistakes, like giving them a discount on the messed up item/items that were an hour behind, is what keeps the customers coming back. Until you fix your first mistake, I can’t trust you won’t do it again without any quality customer service to back you up. The future percentage off does nothing if you can’t get a customer to come back into...

TLDR: Family-owned, this is one of the best pizza restaurants in the SG Valley. Dine in or take out available.

This is not a chain restaurant so the other "red devil" pizza places are not affiliated. However, the Upland location has a similar logo so there may be a connection. I've not asked.

Red Devil Covina serves good sized pizzas in the style that most Californians have familiarity. Dough is stretched across thin pans, spread with a tasty tomato sauce, then topped with a good amount of cheese and your topping(s) of choice. The pizza oven is large with a circular conveyance so the pizza's come out with a crisp bottom and chewy texture.

I like their pizzas and rate them above most you will find in the San Gabriel Valley. We've eaten inside in the past and ordered a green salad with the pizza which is fresh.

Sad to say we won't be ordering from Red devil anymore after years of being customers. Ordered our pizza, waited the estimated delivery time, and after 2 hours and endlessly trying to get through on the phone, we finally got through inky to be told at first the order was delivered, but they don't know what happened to it. Then after being on the phone for ten minutes the guy finally said it was just never made. He refused to comp our pizza, give us any coupons, and only consented to giving us breadsticks after some persistence. Unfortunately this was for a child's birthday party, over half our party left with no good or cake and we were told they absolutely cannot refund us, just try to get it to us as soon as possible, and even then we waited quite some time.
