Covina District Field — Attraction in Covina

Bonita Vs San Dimas Smudge-pot Game was held here.. Over all I have to say it’s a beautiful field. But I recommend planning ahead for the traffic surrounding the field. It’s pretty intense. Not to mention there isn’t nearly enough parking available. They definitely could have used a larger parking lot. I arrived at the field an hour before the game and the lot was full. We ended up parking a few blocks away. Which after seeing the traffic situation in the area, farther ended up being the better option. I was also very surprised by the fields sound system. The PA used for announcing was great. But when the half time performances that required music began, it was another story. It was terrible. You could barely hear the music playing. It sounded like someone pressed play on the tape deck of an 80’s boom box and sat it down in front of the mic. That was a little disappointing. Aside from those two minor bugs i would have rated 5 stars. Concession stands were great, the score board was beautiful. Loved that they have the schools name lit up above the score. A good field and track set up. Plenty of seating with a good view from any seat. Handicap seating available as well. Snack bar open depending on what event is taking place. Plenty of parking for home team in rear and visitor parking closer to the street. Just congested when the event is over. The main building is 2 story. Down stairs are team locker rooms , restrooms & a snack bar on the back side of the building. Main door entry in front is access to upstairs where the school board holds their meetings. the Covina district field is a great example of how nice a field can be. It sits right next to the high school so obviously they use it, but it has very nice facilities it's very clean and has great seating available. One of the things I like about it the most is that it didn't seem to have a bad seat in the house, nor was it a problem getting in or out. Depending on the crowd though you may have to park down the street which is not a problem because it's very flat and easy to get around...
