I checked out Ola Resto Bar on a Friday night, and the vibe was on point! The place was lit, the Lakers were playing, and the energy was just right for a night out. One of the best surprises of the night was the beer deal—20-ounce draft beers for only $4 during the Laker game. I ordered two at once, just in case service was slow, and unknowingly timed it perfectly—the game ended just seconds later, meaning if I had waited, I would have had to pay full price for my second beer. Lucky me! As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised! We got the taco platter, which came with eight tacos—and they did not skimp on the meat. Everything was flavorful, and the two salsas on the side added a nice kick. I also tried the half-dozen oysters, and they came with fish ceviche on top, which I wasn’t expecting. At first, I was unsure since I’m used to eating oysters plain, but it actually turned out to be really good! It was a nice twist, and I’d definitely order them again. The price was solid too—about $18.99 for six oysters with ceviche, which felt like a good deal. The atmosphere was lively, and the music was great. I’m not sure if they bring in a DJ later at night, but the vibe was already solid. Looking forward to coming back, especially for game-day deals—with Dodger season coming up, I’m hoping they’ll have some great specials! ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 ✅ Awesome game-day beer deal ✅ Tacos loaded with meat ✅ Oysters with ceviche were a nice surprise ✅ Lively atmosphere with great music ❌ Could use more info on DJ/events Would I go back? Absolutely—especially for more game-day specials!

Ola Restobar Came here on a Tuesday for the Dodger game. 5 stars for the flavor and presentation of the mixed drink cocktails. Raspberry lemon drop prepared with freshly squeezed lemon juice, a light raspberry taste, a touch of house-made simple syrup, sugar rim and fresh raspberries as garnish. Also ordered a Raspberry Dreams and it was amazing. It has a vibrant mix of Razzmatazz liqueur, whiskey, peach schnapps, pineapple juice, grapefruit syrup and a touch of simple syrup all garnished with block ice, a caramelized black cherry, a sundried lemon. Highly recommend the chicken-potato-cheese taquitos with guacamole (it has a little kick). They were crunchy and had great presentation. We also ordered a pizza platter with 3 pizzas and battered fries. The fries are so good! Lastly, special ordered a shrimp tosdatada with shrimp consome. Consome is on the spicy side. Overall, Ola is a great place to watch the game and have some good food. I wish they'd play audio her on game days instead of music because a lot of the people here are here for the game. Ola has a good drink selection, delicious food, and plenty of TVs to watch the game (with no sound.) I would definitely recommend Ola, cheers 🍻

When on a happy hour hopping session of downtown Covina, Ola is normally on my shortlist of stops. They have the best Margaritas in town hands down. I can't completely vouch for the food as I've only sampled a couple of the appetizers but from what I've tasted their grub is solid. The only thing keeping this establishment from a five star review is the service. Be prepared for a decent wait. There have been several times when I've waited half a hour after being seated to finally have a server take my order. I concede that there have even been a few times when I straight up got tired of waiting and took my hard earned greenbacks to another haunt. But as stated before I keep coming back for the magnificent margaritas. Solid 4 stars to Ola.

We have been coming here for years as regulars especially for dodgers on a taco Tuesday. This past Tuesday we received the worst experience from Dora (waiter) and Giovany (manager) she hardly checked up on us. We had Eric attend to us and it wasn’t even his table. We asked the bus boy to please get our waiter and he went to get Dora and she brushed him off and instead went to look for Eric to get him for us. We asked Eric for the bill and he tried to get it but said Dora would be bringing it to us (go figure she would appear to give us the check) we noticed that a gratuity on there and asked for the manager. He came and I told him the service from his waiter Dora was horrible and he pretty much called me a liar because said “miss I’ve been here all night and seen her checking up on you” the table next to us even complained about her not coming. He said it’s posted on the wall that it’s automatically added with a party of 6 or more and that’s that. We said we would pay it if it went to Eric he said no because it was not his table but Dora’s table, and we stated again she didn’t do anything for us it was Eric all night. Long story short after being rude to me and going back and fourth with me he said he can take it off and he did with no apology or anything. We love this place it’s just the first bad experience we have with these two individuals, maybe some proper training for the waiter would be needed as well as the Manager, he should help out his staff (like the other lady manager does) and not stand at the podium all night like he did. If you guys go ask for Eric to help you guys he is the best, my husband and I love him and all the guest we have taken love how he is so attentive and goes above...

Unfortunately they serve alcohol here and my friend had a bit too much to drink. She was not feeling well. A large male security guard, the manager I'm assuming because he wouldn't give us his name, followed her into the bathroom and basically told us she needed to go. Clearly she was not feeling well and I asked multiple times for him to just give us a few (we ordered drinks and shots) and he was peering through the crack in the stall the entire time! Talk about unprofessional and downright inappropriate. I was recommended to come here by a co-worker but after that I will definitely NOT be coming back. I felt so bad for my friend. She was already feeling sick and to have security follow through the place is ridiculous and embarrassing. We are in downtown covina. I mean hell, we were just at a private event for the Chateau Marmont yesterday and didn't get treated like this. It was like a WOW and an LOL moment. I can't even leave a review for the food or drinks because that guy really ruined the entire experience. When I asked for his name he didn't want to give it and when I looked at his badge he wanted to follow us out to the BEYOND the restaurant to the street. Mind you, she's like 5'6 120 pounds... So what is a 6'2 250 pound dude gonna do? Push her?

Will NEVER go back and I recommend you do the same. They're sexist and clearly homophobic. It doesn't make up for whatever they were serving because having 40+ people stare at your friend who went there for a good time is downright embarrassing! Never getting...
