My girlfriend and I were doing a little happy hour hopping sesh of downtown Covina and had just finished a round of delicious margaritas from Ola. We were considering were we would get our dinner for the evening when we walked by Bodega bar and grill. Apparently they had just had their soft opening a few days back, so we thought why not give the new place in town a shot. Our first choice of appetizer and drinks we're encouraging, we ordered the chimichurri bbq wings. They were frankly delicious. My choice of a hazy IPA was also very good, unfortunately we had to send my girlfriend's Coke back twice because it had absolutely no carbonation. At the end she just opted for a diet which came back fine. Now to our main courses, My girlfriend opted for their take on a Cubano sandwich, I chose their fried chicken sandwich. This is where things started to go a little funky. My girlfriend's order was not correct, and they had to remake it. As for myself I was astonished to see the small size of my meal.(see enclosed photo) mind you, the fried chicken sandwich was $18 as you can see by the photo that's one heck of a small piece of chicken in that sandwich. It was good however, but for the price it left something more to be desired. My girlfriend did enjoy her Cubano. Also my final drink choice of a Long Island iced tea was well concocted. All in all, considering the C note I dropped for this meal, it was a bit disappointing. Perhaps they're still working out the kinks of this new eatery, maybe we will consider giving them another go down the road. But for right now we will keep to our usual downtown...

We went for Valentines night. We were very pleased with the service. Hunter went above and beyond to make sure we sat where we could sit side by side. He was attentive and checked on us constantly. The manager walked around greeting everyone and was very nice. The band played Hispanic music which we enjoyed. Our complaint was the “Valentine Menu”. They put the regular menu (mistake) on our table along with the valentine’s menu which was exactly the same except the price was almost double and we were told that we could not order from the regular menu. It would have been fine if the food matched the occasion and price! It was just okay, and nothing special. I ordered a sampler plate of different things although small but tasted okay. My friend ordered the Caveman plate which was small cut up very tough steak, rice, gravy and plantains…Even the desert was sub-par. I ordered the cheesecake with chocolate covered strawberries that were tiny, not ripe, and bitter, they were more green than red! The cheesecake was okay but was a sliver in size! Unfortunately We felt like it was just any other night and...

We were here for the much awaited Garcia vs. Davis boxing fight. Cover at the door. Food was delicious but the service was horrendous. There was only one male server working the bar area so it took forever to put your order in. Drinks came out pretty quick but the food took a while to come out. We had a small group and certain food items were forgotten so we had to order them again which delayed everyone getting their food all at once. The server had difficulty using the handheld device putting in orders which delayed everything. Felt like it was his first day or something but we didn't give him a hard time since we knew it was a super busy night. You would think they would have more than one server for a night like this. As for getting the final bill, ugh! Took like 30-45 minutes to get that. Our server surprisingly disappeared so we had to flag down the floor manager and explain our orders because they couldn't figure out which bill was ours! Good food but they definitely need to improve...

I live walking distance to this bar and grill and have been excited for its opening. This place was good. I went on a rainy afternoon after the rain subsided and their windows roll up, so it was nice to feel some fresh air. The place is spotless. The drinks are delicious... I had a mai tai. It was really well done. I also ordered the 50 shades of blue burger. It was really good. The burger itself was pretty large and in charge and came with fried, so it was a very generous portion which I love. there was a man sitting next to me who commented that it look like it was about a half a pound burger... He was having the nachos and he said it was so good that they were probably the best nachos he ever had, and that the pork was really tender. I definitely recommend this place give it a shot... I’m the old location of where three Vinos used to be and I was informed that three Vinos is now upstairs.
