My mom and I dined here during lunch special on 9/9/25. We ordered 2 pad thai lunch specials, a tom yum chicken soup, and 2 ice teas. The food was tasty, and service was friendly. The total was $50.00, and we left $9 tip. That's 18% of the total.
So, we decided to come back a second time today, 9/10/25 at 11 AM and this time, we did not order lunch specials. Instead, we ordered the pepper beef steak, spicy basil eggplant, and the spicy basil fried rice. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee to go. Our total came out to $55.03. We paid cash today. When we were presented with the check, we were also given a stamp card with three $1 circles stamped off.
Interestingly, yesterday, a stamp card was not given to us, so when I asked about possibly adding yesterday's order/bill to obtain 2 additional stamps, including SHOWING our server our receipt from yesterday's visit, the server refused. He said we have to come back and ask for the lady, who I am assuming is the same lady we met yesterday who may be the owner of the restaurant. He said he could not give us extra stamps. He never said why.
Despite showing our receipt as PROOF of purchase, and mind you, the lunch specials are $12.95, which qualify for the $10 minimum stamp card, he did not want to help us.
This made absolutely no sense. WHO then gave us the 3 stamps we acquired today, if not him? Would it have been so hard for him to add an additional 2 stamps with proof of receipt from YESTERDAY'S lunch order?! It's not like we were asking for free stamps!
Lastly, this male server who wore a pink face mask today (the 11 AM shift on 9/10/25) needs to learn better customer service. He was flat out cold, never smiled, never asked how anything was, or if we needed anything else.
Thai people are from the "Land of Smiles." We have traveled to Thailand many times and have always encountered friendly people. This server should NOT be dealing with customers if he lacks customer service skills. He spoke English just fine, by the way.
He should NOT have asked us to come back for stamps if he could have simply just awarded us stamps himself. Or don't give out a stamp card period if you will not honor stamps from meals worthy of them. This is poor customer service, which left a sour taste in our mouth.

BBQ chicken isn’t as sweet as other places and has a mild spiced flavor. Different but welcomed! Pad see ew was standard. Nothing revolutionary.
However, the REAL surprising dishes were the chinese broccoli and crispy pork (great pork flavor in a super flavorful thin sauce), the chicken satay (super tender in a light peanut sauce), and the shrimp fried rice (lots of thai flavor without being salty).
And lastly, THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING was that yellow curry. Packed with spices yet sweet. Veggies and chicken were tender. We will be returning and that yellow curry will definitely be part of the order.
I recommend it here! Real solid thai food in Covina....

Chili Tango Thai nailed it: the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, with chicken and mixed veggies just how I like it. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the food was absolutely worth the short wait.
The chicken satay was super tender and full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough to feed the whole family. So happy to have...
