I visited Pepe's for the 3rd time, my co workers have been going there for the past 4yrs. We always get the taquitos and they are fine, this time around it is not the same. The guacamole was brown and runny the taquitos were soggy and old. I called them and reported the food and Karmen refused to just write my name down and give me a new order next time I go. She insisted that I return them or take my card back to get my refund. I work 20min from the location that I go to, I was on a 30min lunch. She was basically calling me a liar and telling me that the food sat for to long, that is why it was like that, that they do not sever bad food. I told her well today you guys did. All I wanted was for her to take my name down and give me a fresh order next time I go. She looked at it like she was giving me free food. If that's the case then they rob people when they serve bad food and wont refund it unless the customer takes it back with in a week. She actually wanted me to freeze the food and take it back to her within a week since. My supervisor allowed me to go back, when I took them back I asked Karmen if she would eat them? She looked at them and didn't have an answer for me, I wonder why. This was a very bad case of...
Read moreI spent $55 on a dinner for the family, and the guy handling my order asked me how many sauces I wanted. I asked for 6 of each, and he said, "ok". I looked in the bag and there were only 4 green. I parked my car and walked up to the door to ask about the missing sauce, so the girl at the counter rudely and aggressively gestured at me that I needed to walk up to the drive-thru window instead of politely walking to the door and explaining that they apparently do not open the door for any customer no matter what. It was then rudely explained to me that they have restrictions on how much sauce they are allowed to give out, even though there are no signs to indicate said rule and the only way it is verbally communicated is if you notice you were shorted sauce before you pull away. This is not how you do business. If you have rules, post them. If you say you will give me something that I ask for, then I expect it and don't expect an aggressive confrontation at the window when inquiring about the confusion. I recommend thr Alberto's just south of this place on Azusa if you want Mexican...
Read moreThe food was edible. Unfortunately not everything came out as hoped.
The order: 1 cheese quesadilla 1 small order of cheese fries with guacamole added 1 cheese enchilada plate 1 carne asada plate
The cheese quesadilla had meat in it, which sounds like the opposite of a problem however it was for someone who doesn't eat meat.
The fries were tasteless...I don't know how maybe we got a bad batch or something but they tasted like air. Well cheese guac and air.
The cheese enchilada plate was ok, only complaint was that there was meat in the rice, same person for the quesadilla.
The carne asada plate. This was my plate... Just taco meat, rice and beans. If I ordered the burrito it would've been the same thing and cheaper. I got a deconstructed burrito and paid more for it.
The food was edible, not the Finest Mexican food I've had. It might be some time before giving it another shot though.
Service was ok, it only took me asking four times if I could lemons to get the lemons. But she answered my question about what cheeses are used for the cheese quesadilla so...
