I rarely eat at Popeye's and it appears I'll be eating there even less now. My debit card and credit cards got demagnetized earlier this week and the new ones haven't arrived yet. I waited for 15 minutes in the drive-thru to be told they don't have the ability to enter the number manually. I don't know if the corporate higher ups don't want minimum wage employees to take on big tasks like punching in the digits on the card or if the teens of today aren't capable but it's disgraceful! I don't think it's the latter as the young man who helped me seemed up for the challenge and more than capable but when he asked the manager how to enter the numbers, the voice bellowing across the kitchen said, "We can't enter the numbers." Technology can't help this problem. This is a Popeye's issue. On the positive side, my $86 order was wasted as it got made but not paid for. I'd fix this if I owned a Popeye's. It seems like wasting food when people are hungry and customers time while not taking in a penny because of something businesses have been handling seamlessly for decades is a joke but it's not! I'm dead serious. Popeye's can't take demagnetized cards even if they're chipped. Since I know this is a problem I'll likely waste more of my time and place several orders a day using my demagnetized card so Popeye's goes bankrupt while employees eat the wasted...
Read moreAnn is incredibly unprofessional. Was there not to long ago (currently 2:23 pm) me and my bf went to pick up two Uber orders as we're working rn. So they were already in the system and should've been prepared Wrong. Got there, and my bf went to see what was happening. Nothing was said except it'd be a few minutes. He then goes up to the front and asks Ann what's going on. Her response? She mumbles under her mouth "okayyy." In a whispery annoyed tone. Nothing else. Ignored him and he came back to me. Fourty minutes go by in total and I'm like "okay great" so I go and see with my boyfriend to the front again to see what's up. I said excuse me as she was taking other customers again even though we were there forever. I said "we have been here for almost fourty minutes and he already came up here to you and said nothing. Walked away. So now I'm trying to see what's going on." Her response? "There's other customers we have to attend to first"
Seriously? We've been here for fourty minutes and we weren't a priory when Uber eats is already in the system long before we are?? And are we not customers? Absolutely livid. My bf cancels the orders and we leave. I went back inside to get her name.

Read moreI really wanted to like this Popeye's as it is close to my house. The good news is that the food is delicious. It is my favorite takeout fried chicken and I really like their unique side dishes. The bad news is that while the people who help you are very nice, they don't seem to be very good at getting your order correct. My wife and I recently ordered the Tuesday special which is one leg and one thigh. We got three of them. When we got home, we found that we had one breast and one wing in all three orders. We wanted dark meat! On previous trips, we have ordered half mild and half spicy and received either all spicy or all mild. This last Tuesday, we went in to get the Tuesday special only to be told that they had temporarily stopped the Tuesday special because they keep running out of chicken. It's Popeye's, they should never run out of chicken! It seems like poor management and poor training or maybe they just don't care. This is not rocket science! If you work at a chicken restaurant, you should be able to tell the difference between white and dark meat. I hope that they get their act together soon!
