Hoodoo Ice Cream — Restaurant in Covington

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! been there multiple times it was never as bad as this time the rudest worker I have ever met not to mention the vanilla ice cream was bland and the chocolate was bitter I was spending time with with my sister brother and his girlfriend having a good time we only see eachother once a month so we were laughing and enjoying ourselves blond younger girl with glasses says “CAN YOU STOP!” We didn’t do anything to them just talking to eachother she needs to mind her business and weren’t even being that loud and your supposed to be able to hang out with people why do you have seats if you don’t want people there?!?! The only reason they were so focused on us is because they barely ever have customers because how lousy and dull everything there is and when we left after she harassed us and had the audacity to say “ugh finally” and keep staring at my brother’s girlfriend giving her dirty looks and she was the only person of color in the place and this kind of behavior Is unacceptable and that girl NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY and I will not stand for discrimination please take this into consideration before giving money to this to this business and that is just no way to treat anyone let alone...

Disappointed. Usually, this place is a nice stop for the kids and me, but during our last visit on a summer Friday night in June after seeing the staff member fully grab my ice cream cone without gloves and touching everything in sight,I’m completely turned off by these conditions in this place. She argued with me when I asked for a cone that wasn't touched by her ungloved hands. Like, seriously, you're going to fully touch the part of the cone I plan to feed to my kids and then when I point it out and ask for a new one, refuse to give me a new cone? Yep, how dissatisfactory. I mean, there's a napkin on the cone, but that clearly was for show since she didn't bother using that to hold the cone with her unsanitary hands. My kids were with me, so I didn’t want to argue, let alone about sanitation with the employee, so I wound up paying for a cone my daughter couldn't eat. Perhaps some sanitation and basic customer service should be implemented since you are preparing food and touching food...

I initially decided to visit this ice-cream shop because i was visiting and not familiar with the area; although my boyfriend is. To my surprise i was met with a disgusting stare by a blond female, no idea what her name was. I don’t plan on visiting next time when I'm in town again. Extremely racist as i was the only person of color, who had been met with the look of disgust. Which i shrugged off and continued to place my order, in hopes it would end there. I WAS WRONG! As me and my boyfriend’s family continued to enjoy ourselves (we decided to dine in) I continued to enjoy my icecream despite getting stared down a blond girl near the register…before we could get up and leave i was told “CAN YOU STOP. YOU NEED TO LEAVE” simply because we were laughing and enjoying ourselves. We decided to leave....
