Vazquez Restaurant Seafood & Po-Boy — Restaurant in Covington

Very disappointed!!! First of all during this difficult time I like to patronize local restaurants and businesses but when they don't appreciate your business thats a different story. Always used debit card and never was charged but last time they charged me and when I called to question she said they have a sign up. Well, you never charged me before so the sign must have just went up and you should tell your customers. Next I ordered a sandwich that I asked to be dressed and for the second time it was plain, no lettuce, no tomato and no pickles. They should write this special orders down if they can't remember. Then I asked for extra gravy on my sandwich which I asked last time and received no gravy!!!! Well, this time I got a littler ounce plastic container and charged me for it. I will think twice before I patronize this restaurant again. Management must not care because I never even got a phone call back!! Too many restaurants in Covington area that do CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS that I will give my business to for now on. Bye VAZQUEZ!!! I can tell you do not care about your customers...

This was a whole episode. So we made a reservation for 11 people, 9 adults and 2 kids. We tried to make it for 6:30 but were asked to make it earlier for 5:45 cause they wanted to be out by 7...we agreed. Upon arrival we were told that it really wasn't a good time for a birthday party and they were reluctant to seat us. We sat anyway and ordered without a hiccup... so we thought. It wasn't until the food started to arrive that things got harry. Most of the food came out correct until 2 plates came out th.at were never ordered, to which the server argues that she wrote everything down correctly and that that's what we ordered. But no one at our table wanted to claim the food cause they didn't order it! The server just insisted well thats what you ordered so that's what you get. So 3 of the people didn't even receive what they actually ordered. To top off the terribly rude server and bad service, the food was less than mediocre. I'd give less stars if I could. 8-5-2022 Returned for lunch but decided to skip the usual Cuban sandwich to try the chicken parmesan plate. Thought I would compare it to a recent lunch I enjoyed at an Italian place nearby. Ordering an Italian dish in a Cuban venue... risky? Well... it paid off! What a fantastic lunch! The chicken was thick, crispy, and juicy. I am actually torn as to what I will order when I return next time!

Previously... Been a while since I been here, but it's always good food and friendly service. I love the cuban sandwich, but this time I messed up and ordered the large! I barely finished it and hated myself afterwards... but it was soooo good and soooo worth it. If you haven't been in a while... make a point to get back here... I definitely waited too long...
