I just went to this place for the first time with my boyfriend. I ordered a latte and a ham and cheese, extra toasted. The latte was not bad. Upon receiving the ham and cheese, I nicely informed the employee that I was allergic to sesame seeds and asked if I could get another type of bread. I also apologized for the inconvenience. She said they only had sesame seed and whole grain. This seems like something worth mentioning prior, especially since not everyone can eat or likes seeds. I agreed to the whole grain bread, after she said it didn’t have sesame seeds, and instead of making it again, she took the ham and cheese from the previous sandwich and just dumped it on the whole grain bread, just like that. I am extremely disappointed. I’ve worked in the service industry and would never be rude to anyone serving. Her attitude was completely uncalled for. She is a young girl and I don’t know if she was having a bad day. She seemed to have an attitude as soon as we walked in. This is absolutely not okay, especially when I was very nice and polite in my request. I left the sandwich on the counter and will not...
Read moreAmazing new café in Cranford! So many good options here. Highly recommend the pumpkin pie matcha, salted maple caramel latte, and of course, their famous horchata latte. Also love adding their house-made cold foams to a regular latte. Lots of cold foam flavors (I’ve tried the sweet cream vanilla, salted maple, pistachio, rose, and pumpkin) and a lot of milk options too (pretty sure they have every possible option).
There’s a ton of sweet and savory food options — personally love the Philly cheesesteak empanada and pistachio croissant. Also tried a pupusa for the first time here! So good and love getting to experience Salvadoran culture.
The outdoor patio is a great place to sit and enjoy the fall weather, especially with the cute string lights they added. Plenty of seating inside as well, with outlets conveniently placed by the seats so perfect for remote work or studying. It does get very busy, especially on the weekends, but the line moves quickly and the very friendly staff gets your order to you pretty fast....
Read moreI’ve been seeing this spot all over Instagram, advertised as a Salvadoran place, and as a Salvadoran myself, I was excited to try it. When I walked in, the place looked more like a Starbucks lots of people on laptops, and a very trendy vibe. I will say the atmosphere is beautiful: lots of greenery, super clean, and nicely designed. However, the food was a big letdown. The menu didn’t have prices listed, so I was surprised to find out each pupusa was $5. I ordered four, and unfortunately, they tasted like they were premade or even frozen, definitely not fresh, and absolutely not worth the price. We also ordered empanadas, and they weren’t fresh either. The coffee was super watery and not even Salvadoran, which was really disappointing given how they advertise themselves. If you’re going for the ambiance and maybe a pastry, it’s a cute spot to hang out. But if you’re looking for authentic Salvadoran food, this isn’t it. I really hope they work on delivering the authenticity...
