Filthy, unsanitary, disregard for basic human respect, and all backed up by the manager, Eliza. Walked in with my sister and 2 daughters, passed 5 or so workers sitting at a table on the way to the bathroom. Two stahls there and one was covered in urine. I walked out to tell a worker, purposely choosing one who looked like she was not on break, who was placing an order at a computer, that the bathroom needed attention. A server who was eating at the table jumps up and begins stomping off to the restroom, as if she was inconvenienced and angry. I stated, "You should continue your break, I'm sure someone else can handle it." She replied "None of us are on break." Soo I followed her to the restroom where she retrieved a paper towel and wiped off the urine with it, and began to walk out, without washing her hands, and return to her food. As this was not a method of "cleaning" that I was familiar with or even remotely sanitary, I asked her, "Is this how the restroom is cleaned here?" She sarcastically said "Yes, it is," with a look of complete hatred on her face. I said " There aren't any cleaning supplies here?" She grinned and said " No." And walked out. Since I was appalled at this information and the thought of my food being served by someone this filthy and full of the need for retaliation, I asked someone else for a manager. Just then, here comes the manager, holding a towel and spray bottle, with the server who stated there was no cleaning supplies, standing right beside her with her hand on her hip as if to say, I'm not going to get in any trouble I asked the manager why the server would have said there are no cleaning supplies and left the restroom without washing her hands after wiping urine, and she simply shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know and continued to look at me as if I were the problem. As I stood there looking at the 2 of them in their eyes, it seemed as if they were on drugs of some kind. The manager was not at all surprised by this servers behavior and prepared to clean the toilet herself, reluctantly. I asked her if she thought that I would be allowing my family to eat in an environment serving food where the worst kind of filth had just been demonstrated, and she didn't reply, just stared blankly back at me. This interaction was so bizarre, and all but convinced me they were not in touch with reality. I said, "What is going on here?!" Again, no response. We left and went next door to Friday's. I've been so upset about this behavior that I waited over a week before I could even recount this experience to review it. I thought about calling corporate personally, but felt it better to inform the masses of this establishment, for their health and safety. I do believe at minimum, there were drugs involved. It is an epidemic locally and the only thing that I know of that can block a person's conscience to be able to react in such a manner as this. This all occurred on July 26th,...
Read moreIt had been nearly 5 years since my last visit due to the food being below standards. Decided to try again since many things have changed. (Short story, mostley great food. Porkchops with apple chutney is awesome. Staff was under trained and not knowledgeable regarding the food). Long story:
We arrived on a Monday night and no one was waiting for a table, but it took 10 minutes for us to be greeted. The hostess and another worker were sitting in the waiting area talking to people about a carry out order. Did not acknowledge us.
Finally, we were seated and the table was soaked, we asked if they could dry the table and they brought us napkins so we could dry it ourselves.
Our waitress came over and smelled like an ashtray as she just got back from a smokebreak. She was very polite but her knowledge of the menu items seemed a little less than expected.
We asked if they used peanut oil (due to an allergy). She did not know. She asked another waitress who did not know. It took 6 minutes for someone to confirm that they do not use peanut oil.
I asked about the porkchop and she said that she has not had it, but customers order it.
The food came out and looked and tasted great! Only down side was the fries were not very good, tasted microwaved. I had onion rings for a side knowing it would be an up charge. But was shocked that the up charges was $2.50 (for 5 onion rings), when other item up charges were only $1.30.
Porkchops, amazing. Fish and chips, great accept the fries. Kids grilled cheese and broccoli, kid ate it up.
While eating the waitress asked if we were "ok for a few" so she could "step out for a smoke." I have never had someone in the food business ask that. Normally they ask someone to cover their table without letting the customers know.
Dessert was good, the triple chocolate lava thing.
When paying the waitress took my money, Went to the back, then came back to the table, put her tip folder on the table and started to pull bills out counting my change, then pulling coins out of her coin purse.
Service was slow and encountered many delays making our total stay around 2 hours. A little long considering we did not have to wait for a table to open up, and the place was not that busy (under half full, maybe a quarter full)
We will comeback, just hope the staffing is a little more trained and...
Read moreI normally don't take the time to write reviews, but our experience at the Crestview Hills location was HORRIBLE. It was a Wednesday night so it wasn't crowded at all. My wife and I along with our two children were seated quickly and were greeted by our server Kimberly H just as quick and she was friendly, but thats where it took a turn. I ordered the steak with green beans and broccoli (it was a build your own meal thing). I ordered the steak rare. My wife and children also ordered meals and then we waited and waited and waited. Mind you no one was in our section at the time with exception of a couple who were finishing up their meal. No sign of Kimberly H as we waited. Our food finally arrives Kimberly apologized and blamed the kitchen staff. Immediately I recognized I didn't have broccoli as I ordered but jad mashed potatoes instead. Before Kimberly left I asked her for my broccoli and some silverware....since were we not provided with any. In the meantime a couple is seated two booths behind us. This couple turns out to be friends of Kimberly H and another employee. They are talking loud and the language is foul from the couple. So my young son has to go to the bathroom and so I escort him there. Upon entering I was almost going to take him back and let his mom take him to the women's restroom. I have been in 7/11 bathrooms that were cleaner. Urine everywhere along with pubic hair. Once he washed his hands we went for towels and the dispenser in laying open and roll of towels hanging in the breeze. Now back to my food. Upon returning I still didn't have my broccoli and look over and Kimberly is now sitting in the booth with the couple behind us. I go to cut into my steak and what do you know...rare like I ordered??? No it's the opposite end of the spectrum...well done. At this point I'm not sending anything back, we've already been there too long so I just ate it. About the time I was 3/4 through my meal Kimberly saw fit to break away from her dinner date with the couple behind us and the additional employee and bring me my slightly warm bowl of broccoli. I've received better service at a fast food from teenagers. You need to fix this...
