Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Crestwood

visited this Dairy Queen location on March 10, 2025, and had a disappointing experience. I placed an order, received my Blizzard promptly, and was asked to pull forward to wait for my cheeseburgers, which I didn’t mind at first. However, after waiting 20 minutes with no food, I drove back around to check on my order and asked to speak with the manager. At that point, one of the employees (a Black gentleman) closed the window in my face and began laughing, which was incredibly unprofessional.

When the manager finally addressed the situation, she apologized and explained that my order had been accidentally deleted. She assured me it was being prepared, which I understood, but the real issue arose when she hesitated to offer a refund or take full responsibility for the mistake. While I could overlook the 20-minute delay, the lack of accountability and the disrespectful behavior from the employee were unacceptable.

For anyone who enjoys Dairy Queen, I highly recommend avoiding this location and visiting the one on Shelbyville Road instead, across from Chicken Salad Chick. We stopped here while traveling. Usually my husband and I are pretty laid back and patient at restraints because we know sometimes things happen.. but for fast food.. The service was TERRIBLE. We waited a LONG time and not one single person even apologized on how long we had to wait. We were literally the ONLY ones in the drive thru. They told us to wait when it was time to order. To which we waited 5-10 minutes for them to ask what they could get for us. We then pulled up and no kidding waited over 15 minutes for some chicken strips and a burger. Ofcourse they put pickle on the burger like my husband asked them not to, and didn’t put ranch in the bag like we asked as well. This location is terrible, I sat in the drive through for twenty minutes total and I was the only car there! Fifteen minutes into it they said I was waiting for the burger to cook, which is odd as I use to work at a DQ in high school and we had warming bins to keep already cooked meat warm, so they should of had 10-20 patties already cooked. I finally got my food and went back to work, opened my burger wrapper to see a single patty even though I ordered and payed for a double, the patty also was not fresh at all, it was barley warm and very dry, like it had been in a warming tray for quite a while.
