I shop in this store frequently and usually my experience is great.
Today, I stopped in and had to wait in line. But I silently waited my turn, only to get to the register and Jeanine (an older lady with red hair, if that's even her name. I asked another associate who says she was a manager). "Jeanine asked if the man behind me could go in front of me, because he only had a few items". I said no, because I had to stand in line and wait too. She proceeded to say that there's no kindness in the world. I told her that me not letting someone go in front of me doesn't mean that I'm not kind. My point was I had to stand in line and listen to her tell stories about whatever it was she talking about as the line grew. She kept saying it and I kept repeating myself.
The poor man behind me stated that he was ok with it and asked me if hi flowers matched. I know that he was uncomfortable.
I found another associate and asked if she was a manager and she says yes. I tell her about the exchange an that I think "Janine should be written up". She tells me she doesn't know how to write anyone up, but she'll let the manager know tomorrow. I call B.S. and will definitely be going back tomorrow.
"Janine" should have kept her comments to herself...
Read moreI stopped shopping at d.t. all the time when they hiked up their prices. I really stopped coming to this one because some of cashiers have been down right ignorant. There is an older lady with short hair awhile back didnt even acknowledge me at the register, then started talking to other customers instead of me whom was checking out. Today there was a young girl who was rude to my mom whom needed help and she stood there and I had to say my mom needs help. She shrugged her shoulders and didnt do anything, didn't call for help. Then rude to me when I said thank you and went mmhmm. Me nor my mom were being rude or nasty. Now there is one lady (I forgot her name) who has light brown hair and wears glasses who is always super nice. Don't be so desperate for workers that you hire whomever, they need to be courteous to the customers. If d.t. cant keep people, maybe self check out...

(dollar tree in Crestwood) My dad (who is elderly) accidentally left his phone in the bathroom and when we called to see if it was there they stated “we’re not going all over the store looking for it” and that if it was there someone would have turned it in. It ended up being in the bathroom like we stated and when we told them we appreciated their time they said “uh huh” and hung up. I would hate to see how they treat their staff if they’re comfortable speaking to their...
