Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Cross Roads

UPDATE MAY 28 Returned to give place second chance ... Worse than ever! It wasn't even busy this time with only three customers in the store but staff were just wandering about, no one was taking control and no one was really I terested in serving you. Once again the place was a mess, the ice cream freezers were dirty and uncared for and half the flavours were unavailable. We got back in the car and drove 10 miles to the store in Little Elm where we received our usual enthusiastic welcome to the store from the team along with prompt service and quality product in a clean and tidy store. Guys ... This really isn't rocket science ... If you cannot be bothered to give good customer service please quit and allow someone else to do the job properly.

Was really excited to discover BR had opened within a mile of our house but the excitement changed to disappointment on visiting. There were few cones available and I was offered the "display" waffle cone as it was the only one available. The store had also run out of spoons! Considering the place is brand new it's a MESS. Almost every table was dirty, there was trash on the floor and the glass on the freezer fronts was smeared and uncared for. Yes, the place was busy and all the staff were working hard to keep up but the basics like this have to be attended to even if the line has to wait a little longer. Take on more help if necessary. I went to this Baskin Robbins after going to the one in Little Elm off of El Dorado (don't go to that one, not clean and has a smell 😵‍💫). I was looking for mint chocolate chip ice cream, my daughters favorite, but we couldn't find it. I stopped into this store and glanced throughout the store...nope...they didn't have it....or so I thought. An employee in a black shirt (Shawn) saw me looking around and right when I turned to leave the store he asked me what I was looking for...I told him mint chocolate chip but it wasn't there. He looks through his prepackaged and again through the store and tells me he is sure he has it. Just the effort of asking me what I was looking for was impressive to me, because many people are not nice anymore. He makes a call on his radio, then he says give him a minute he is going to check the back....he's gone for a few mins and comes back with a mint chocolate chip...he said it was the only one they had. I was extremely impressed with his customer service and effort. Please frequently shop at this store, let's keep this type of service in our community. He went above and beyond just for one quart of ice cream for me....I will always purchase from this Baskin Robbins and always...

I took my son here on a Friday. It is not all the time that we get to go out for ice cream due to my financial situation so he was very excited. Once we got in the car and started eating the ice cream we noticed that the cones were super stale discolored and not edible. I called back to this location and asked for the manager. Not to complain but just to inform them they needed to remove the stale cones. The female cashier immediately says no the manager is not in and hung up in my face. I called back over seven times shocked that they were screening my calls and not being responsive. I never report things I always just let them go but the level of rudeness I wasn't even calling to complain that's what's so upsetting.The male cashier that took my order was very respectful and nice to my son I just want...
