Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill — Restaurant in Cross Roads

As a former General Manager of Bottlecap Alley, I was highly unpleased with the way the management team in Crossroads approached an issue that they were having. As my family and I sat on their outdoor patio bar, we had great service by the bartenders. My husband and I noticed there were 4 customers sitting INSIDE the establishment vaping as they ate, and drank. The Manager on duty (Roman) walked past all 4 regulars at the inside bar that were clearly blowing clouds of vapor throughout the INSIDE of the establishment. He proceeded to go outside towards the patio. I watched him light up a cigarette and take a quick smoke break. Mind you, he was still located inside the fencing of the patio. Clearly the city ordinance for smoking cigarettes is on the outside of the patio fence. Roman was inside the fenced area. Regardless, that didn't bother me. I continued to sip my drink, and take a pull off of my vape, and talk to my previous employees while they were working behind the bar. Roman then decided to come up to me, tell me I cannot vape on the premises. In which I asked him why he was allowing the customers inside of the restaurant vape, and that he smoked a cigarette inside of the fence. He then walked away, TO CALL 911! NORTHEAST POLICE. Mind you, there was ZERO argument between the manager and I. There was ZERO profanity used in the conversation. And there were ZERO reasoning behind calling the EMERGENCY NUMBER due to me hitting my vape. The police show up, talk to Roman, then talk to me. I did not get in any sort of trouble with the officers, probably because I DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG. I told the officers how sorry I was that he called them out to Bottlecap Alley for this unnecessary reason.

I felt as if I was singled out by this new Manager simply for the fact that I used to be the General Manager of this location. Unfortunately for Bottlecap Alley, my husband and I will no longer be coming to any of their locations, and the 10 regulars that were sitting at the bar witnessing the whole shabang, were quite disappointed in Roman. I really hope you guys reconsider your management choice. The employees of this location, and the regulars that were sitting INSIDE THE RESTAURANT VAPING were extremely frustrated with the decision that you're new Assistant made. My husband and I will never be back, and according to the messages I have received from your regulars at this location, neither will they.

I would appreciate if you would watch your cameras at this location and watch how this whole thing went down. I will be contacting the Northeast Police department due to the harassment I faced from the Manager at this store. So sad how the culture of that store has changed....

If I could give a 2.5 I would. So it was just me and my 4 yr. This was my second time here. The servers were fine it had nothing to do with them. It was the food. I ordered just a build it yourself burger, one patty. And my 4 yr. Had grilled cheese and fruit.The food came out rather quick. And I ordered a salad and just thought it was on it's way as they just came by and dropped it off. Didn't say anything, as that wasn't the actual server. I took a bite and it wasn't very flavorful, but thought it would get better once I got more to the center. Instead, it actually got worse. It had this hint of fishy or like the way a pan smells that has sat in the sink 24 hours after frying low grade hamburger. (I know you know what I'm talking about, we all have done it at some point or another) and I just kind of pushed through it, but lost my appetiteabout a 3rd if rhe burger in. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese, but her fruit was a fruit snack cup. Just wished the menu specified that it was that or I may have picked something else for her. Well we weren't there long because I felt a little gross out from the flavor sitting in the back of my throat, and never so happy that my 4 yr didn't want to finish their fruit cup. So I could cleanse my pallet. And we left. Never got my salad....... The first time was with my hubby and his burger was really good. And I had the BLT which was okay, but only because I am pretty picky about my bacon. So I don't blame them for it not being to my complete satisfaction. But their cajun fries had waaaaaay too much season. Because the powder would hit the back of your throat and almost make you have a cough fit. And I love spicy, I usually ask for hotter than what's on the menu. Plus our server couldn't tell us what the special was for drinks or what was on tap....... (0.0) So bottom line, I'm not too...

Big Mistake having dinner Bottlecap in Crossroads tonight! Our family decided to try it for the 2nd time. First time was when they first opened, it was okay, nothing great. But we thought after this long opened they might have improved! Not only did they Not Improve, by the time we drove home I could hardly get into the restroom fast enough. I was completely fine before dinner and all day, not even kind of sick, drove to eat at Bottlecap, drove home and been puking every since I left! Unacceptable to serve food that makes people SICK! Finally after hours of puking I'm starting to feel a little better after getting that disgusting food out of my system! Five hours later, no longer throwing up but still feel sick to my stomach! My mother ordered a hamburger medium rare, when she tried to cut the hamburger in half, the steak knife couldn't cut it. At first I just thought the knife was dull but while I was "waiting" on my CORRECT food, yes they brought me something I didn't order... I decided to try my mother's burger. It was so over cooked it tasted like Jerky. She sent in back and decided to ONLY eat her French fries! Yes that was my mother's dinner... French Fries but at least she didn't get sick! If any management reads this, don't bother reaching out to me, to say oh we are sorry, here is a coupon and try us again. We have ZERO interest in EVER coming back! I'm hoping this review saves someone who is considering your restaurant. We don't have lots of choices out here for restaurants but certainly most any would be a...
