Captain D's — Restaurant in Crossville

Where do I begin.

The guy taking our order did not know what he was doing. Didn't know the combos come with one side and a drink or that dinners come with 2 sides and no drink. I had to explain this to him.

Took 45 minutes to get our 4 person to go order and they were slow. Come to find out the order was sitting in the window for half that time and nobody got it.

The order had several mistakes. Ordered 2 loaded and 1 regular baked potatoes and got 3 loaded. Put tartar on a sandwich that was supposed to not have tartar.

The lady appeared to be high as a kite.

So the kid taking the order had no idea what he was doing. Maybe he is new and was training, if that is the case put the pipe down and train him. Food died in the window and the order was wrong in several ways.

Captain D’s in Crossville,

We hadn’t been to a Captain D’s in awhile, and found ourselves trying to decide where to eat, so we thought we’d give them a try. First let me say that the customer service was top notch! Better than many more popular restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very clean, even the Latrine, while old, was very clean. I’d much rather use an old clean Latrine rather than a new dirty Latrine. The fish was really good, but in all honesty, I didn’t enjoy the shrimp. It really didn’t have any flavor. And sadly, the gumbo was 90% rice. While it did have good flavor, I really didn’t want a bowl of gumbo flavored rice. Overall it was a pleasant experience. How do I write this review? The fried whitefish was great. It was a chore conveying my order to the staff and I guess I got a little frustrated and yelled. I was outside at the speaker so not quite sure how I offended the teenager but anyway I tried to order a white fish dinner with three pieces of fish and all I heard is "It only comes with one piece of fish." Then I'd say, "OK, add two more." Then they'd say, "So you want three dinners?" and I'd say, "no, one with three pieces." Then they'd say, "but it only comes with one." So you can see my source of frustration. They said they didn't want to serve me but I went inside and calmed them down. They got offended through the speaker. However, the dinner was great.
