Dublin's Crossing — Restaurant in Crossville

If you have not been here yet, you HAVE to try this place. We got in immediately. The service is amazing. We had Lisa as a server and she was great! She was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful! We ordered the fried green tomatoes with homemade pimento cheese. 🔥! I don't even like tomatoes and I ate them up! They were fried perfectly and the pimento cheese was delicious. I didn't get a picture but do me a favor and order them! I ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage, Potatoes, and Carrots. The corned beef was seasoned so perfectly and they give you two big slabs of it. The cabbage was a little bland so I added some salt and pepper. The carrots were sweet and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were amazingly buttery and melted in your mouth. I also tried something called colcannon and it was one of the BEST things I've ever had in my entire life! It is described as mashed potatoes with cabbage onions milk and butter and holy crap it was so so good! The experience was delightful. My friends got burgers and said they were delicious! This type of review is rare for me. But we were kind and reasonable in every way, and were rewarded with an unyielding apathetic server.

Generally good food. Great atmosphere.

Poor review because we were as polite as possible in a request to get some sauerkraut on the side for one of our guests because of dietary restrictions and the waitress just would have nothing to do with it. We even offered to pay for a higher item and just offer a little dish sauerkraut, and she said it’s impossible because there is no button for it. I own a business and just cannot understand how someone could be so unreasonably unaccommodating. I did not think it was that complicated or too much of a request. I Even politely asked to see the manager to ask about it and the waitress refused to bring anyone else into the conversation, so we did not press it and just ordered for the rest of us and left right away. Frankly just dumbfounded.

I will be back, however, and will adjust my review accordingly or if the managerresponds here. Simply for the sake of process improvement as a like...

A friend and I went here as a celebration for a few things. We both breed and show dogs, so we were celebrating some new wins and titles, as well as the loss(Rainbow Bridge)of some of our old champions. We basically ordered the same thing. We ordered extra food so we had leftovers for the next day… We started out with the delicious Scotch Eggs… I will be honest, I had never had them before and I couldn’t get enough of them. They were very good and honestly I can’t wait to go back and get them again. We ordered the Shepherds Pie which came with a salad, we chose Ranch dressing, we also ordered an order of Bobble and Squeak. We washed it all down with w wonderful Black and Tan. My friend ordered the Bread Pudding and said it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the area that we chose to eat was cozy. We were able to sit and talk and enjoy a great meal. We are looking forward to going back again...
