Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

Horrible Customer Service. Do Not Waste Your Time With This Location. There are many other pizza places in Crystal Lake that are actually nice to their customers.

I have not had Pizza Hut in several years. I saw a commercial on TV for the new Detroit style pizza so I thought I would give it a try.

I called in by phone and ordered a Detroit style with only Cheese and EXTRA SAUCE. I like a lot of sauce on my pizza. Everything seemed to be fine the girl taking my order gave me the total said it would be 15 minutes and I headed over to the restaurant.

When I walked in to the restaurant no employees were visible not even in the kitchen. Waited about 3 minutes and finally a man walks up to the front counter so i told him my name and he verifies the order. Except when he repeats it back he did not say extra sauce. So I told him I wanted extra sauce. He said that would not be a problem because with the Detroit style pizza they put the sauce on after it comes out of the oven.

Then after fidgeting on the computer for about 30 seconds he says that he actually can not give me extra sauce on my pizza because the computer will not allow him to do it.

I laughed and said your kidding, right? He said No I can not do it. I told him this was bad customer service and that I could get extra sauce on my pizza at every other pizza place in town.

I walked out and I guarantee you I will never go to this...

PIZZA WAS TERRIBLE! We ordered 2 pizzas, wings, and cheesy breadsticks for delivery this past Friday night. We get pizza almost every Friday night and recently moved from the west coast and have been looking for something besides deep dish. We used to enjoy occasionally getting Pizza Hut so decided to give it a try, assuming we’d get similar quality to what we’ve had in the past. WRONG. This was quite possibly the WORST PIZZA WE HAVE EVER HAD. For starters, they don’t tell you you’re ordering via DoorDash on their website until the order is complete. We generally don’t use third party sites like that, as the food tends to arrive cold. When the food finally arrived, everything was cold (surprise!) and the pizza crusts were like cardboard - rock hard and completely flavorless. The wings were gross and the breadsticks had so much seasoning they were almost inedible - it was almost like the top to the shaker had fallen off when they shook the herbs on top of the cheese. To top it all off, the marinara for the breadsticks was so strange-tasting that nobody would eat it! It was sweet and tasted “off” in a way we couldn’t put our finger on. We spent almost $60 on a dinner that mostly went into the trash can. Extremely disappointing. We will not be...

Good review for service since the order was done fast and the guy was nice. Atmosphere: store looked a little chaotic and I would definitely not want to wait inside for my order. Now to the food. I ordered the My Hut Box with the personal pan pizza and the medium buffalo boneless wings. The wings: one huge piece and 3 itsy bitsy tiny pieces which were mostly breading. Sauce was very acidic, no real heat. The pizza... Such a sad looking pizza... I ordered ham, pineapple and roasted bell peppers, light cheese and light sauce. Neither the cheese nor the sauce were light, the cheese wasn't even brown, barely melted. The toppings were mostly off the crust because of the way the pizza was cut. The crust, for a pan pizza, was very blonde. When I was home, I baked the pizza for an additional 10 minutes at least. I ended up scraping off the toppings and only eating the crust, as the middle part of the pizza was just ... Not good. Sorry Pizza Hut, I really looked forward...
