I've been to this DQ many many times, and the service is hit and miss at best. I always order the same thing and depending on who makes it determines how good it is. Today is the first time I have felt compelled to actually write a review. When I arrived, I was greeted by a courteous, but very busy girl behind the counter who said she'd be with me in just a moment, which was perfectly fine. As she was wrapping up the order she was in the progress of doing, another employee came rushing out of the kitchen and said she was going home...then she turned to me and said who can i help next, cmon' what do u want? I stepped up to the counter and ordered a mocha moolatte, upon hearing my order, she very rudely said back to me in an extremely exaggerated and sarcastic tone medium mocha mocha medium mocha...what is it that you want??!! I repeated my order clearly and slowly and she finally began making my moolatte. She was still in a hurry, and in the process of making my order, she completely botched my moolatte by using too much ice, hardly any ice cream, no coffee, no whipped topping and no chocolate drizzle, and then in a rude manner, slammed the drink onto the counter and said there's your moolatte. I am giving three stars because there ARE people who work at this DQ who do a really good job, just not the one who took my order. If she was in such a rush to leave, I for one would have preferred she had left as opposed to providing extremely sub par service. Employees like this one make the rest of the team look bad and are a direct reflection of the business itself. As I said, I've been here many times before, and I know this DQ is better than this, that being said...for someone who might be visiting this DQ for the first time...I'd be hard pressed to be convinced that they would come back again if they received service this poor on their initial visit. C'mon DQ of Crystal River....You're better than this. Please take the time to make the your customers orders correctly...and if you're in THAT big of a hurry to leave, then please, by all means go. I'd rather have to wait a bit longer and have my order done right, than have someone make my order...
Read moreI have only visited this location one time, and it will probably be my last. It would appear that the management and employees of this particular store could care less about good service, good food, and retaining their customer base. Myself and a friend used the drive thru to order 2 of their three peice chicken strip baskets for our dinner one evening about 7pm. The location was not busy, only two other vehicles in line besides us. We had to wait for our food approx 10 minutes, the employee at the window stated that they were cooking fresh chicken for our order. Upon receiving our food and pulling away, we found that our chicken strips were not freshly cooked like we had been told, but dry and chewy, obviously the victim of sitting under a heat lamp for way too long! Then, we noticed that the "grilled" Texas toast that comes with the meal had not been grilled at all, it was yellow and very soft from having a large amount of what appeared to be butter put on it, and never made it to the grill. The fries were the only item in both of our meals that I would consider to be hot, and acceptable to serve to the public. When we called to speak with a manager about the visit, and the quality of our food, we were told that if we didnt like the food that was served at the restaurant, we should "eat someplace else". You may want to keep this in mind when deciding on a place to eat while in...
Read moreAs a prior employee of DQ for 6 years ( 2 of which I was a shift leader ), I was highly disappointed. My husband's cookie jar blizzard was missing the fudge. My moolate was missing whip cream. We ordered "for here." They just called out numbers and did not bring it to the table. When I went up to pick up, from the counter, there was no side of tobasco mayo as I requested WHEN I ORDERED and I had to stand and wait for him to bring it, which took way longer then necessary in my past experience. My onion rings were overcooked and maybe warm. I maybe would have addressed the overcooked onion rings except I had waited so long for the order, I just went back to the table and ate my food. I also would like you to know in my experience there usually is a caddy at the tables with ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, and napkins-- these were not only not on the table, but no where in view. I found this entire experience an unacceptable representation of what I know to be a DQ Grill and Chill experience. I do not want a refund, or coupons, or even communication back. I just wish the owner to know what is going on in his/her store and hope he or she can get their staff together! I will not be returning to THIS location, but will continue giving business to DQ at other locations. Thank you...
