So disappointed with our visit on 7/6/24. First time, and probably won't ever go back. Went with two friends for brunch. When we arrived, half the restaurant was empty but placed on a list to be called. Fine, perhaps they don't have enough staff to run the entire restaurant. After about 20 min we were called and sat. After about 10 min, no one had come by to take our drink order. Of course there were servers walking by, delivering food etc but literally no one even bothered to look at us. I finally had to ask someone passing if we have a waitress. To which her response was "I'll be there after I deal with the other customers". Not sure what the attitude was about, but completely uncalled for. Eventually, she came and took our drink order and we ordered food at the same time since at least 15 min has passed since being sat. I asked about drink specials, or what mimosas they had and was told they don't have drink specials, nor do they have a drink menu. But they clearly had a full Bar. 30 min later (and yes I watched my clock because of how the service has been), we finally received our order. I got eggs Benedict. They must not have salt or pepper in the kitchen. No seasoning on the potatoes. They looked and tasted like they were microwaved. No salt, no pepper, no color on potatoes nothing. Eggs were poached fine. Still no salt or pepper. Waitress only came back to give us the bill. No drink refills no asking how food was nothing.
We came here because I heard they had mimosa specials on the weekends for brunch. Food was subpar and service was awful. Won't be bothering with...
Read moreWe wanted to try a new place for breakfast place. The place was clean and busy but not crowded. The waitresses were nice and attentive. Altho, being our first time wasn't sure if there was a kids menu as our 8yr old was handed a regular one. When we asked we were provided with a great kids menu and crayons. Knowing this is a relative location to Kanes and lollygaggers. We were a but shocked by the menu not offering something with steak or a spin on a dish to spice it up. Outside of the Kanes chocolate chip pancakes on the kids menu... now that was the hit for the table. We had to order a 2nd order as our child finished her plate wanting more. We tried them and they are very sweet and quite good! The biscuits were also great. We ordered omelets. Which in comparison to the other reviews. Our cheese was very melted and the omlete almost over cooked and dry. Mine was larger than the other. Both pretty packed with meats and cheese, just a bit over cooked. I had the hash browns which were great. But the home fries were looked oily and undercooked. Which was disheartening because the table over looked like their home fries were large fresh cooked potatoes and looked very crisp. We will most likely go again. Perhaps the cook's strong point isnt omletes. Although not sure what went wrong with the hash browns. Especially if they are more versed with steak. Which might be a great hit...
Read moreLocated in the old lollygaggers spot, rise and dine has been open for the last few months. Decided to stop in and give it a shot.
Only three other tables that had customers which already received their food, two of us ordered just standard meals off the menu and it took almost an hour to get, I mentioned "wow it's been a long time" and the waitress said "Yeah it was over an hour Wait yesterday", I said "you need better cooks", she said "do you want to go back and cook?" I said "no I'd rather pay and get a good meal for my money". I assume she was joking.
The food came out 50 minutes later, my plate was warm so I knew that it had been sitting and my eggs over potatoes with two slices of bacon where barely luke warm, my son's meal was hot and fresh. I mentioned it to the waitress when she walked around, I told her it was basically lukewarm and she says "What would you like to do?" "I said I don't want to wait another hour so maybe microwave it?" Then I change my mind. When she brought the check out she said "maybe we could do better next time."
There will not be a next time for me. Our two breakfast meals cost $35 total with one coffee...
