St. Johns Martini Bar — Restaurant in Crystal River

This is our favorite little bar for date night. When you walk through the door of this charming old brick building you will notice it is beautifully decorated with dimly lit crystal chandeliers hanging above the bar. This makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time and stepped right into a speakeasy of years gone by. The liquor selection is incredible with many high end liquors to choose from and potentially one of the most comprehensive bourbon selection anywhere! I really enjoy the dirty martini and Hadley makes the absolute best one I’ve ever had! They hand stuff the huge olives onsite with blue cheese which takes this dirty martini to the next level! They have many different handcrafted martinis and you are sure to find one you love as well. Hadley is a local resident who makes everyone feel welcome with her warm smile and friendly personality the minute they walk through the door! Normally one of my favorite bars in Citrus County. On my last visit, about 2 weeks ago, it wasn’t as pleasant experience. Hadley is a great bartender but she wasn’t working that evening. I ordered a Manhattan but was given an Old Fashion by the bartender working that evening. Not a big deal. We were a party of 6 and the bar was full of people. All seemed to be having a nice time. Our party was also having fun telling jokes etc. when the manager came up and asked if we could tone down our voices. He did the same thing to a couple of women who were seated at the bar. I didn’t think the noise level in the bar was anything louder than what you would expect in a bar. A bar isn’t a library. Come on Mr manager, I think you need to lighten and let your patrons have...

One of my favorite local restaurants/bar to go and enjoy such good food and laughs. The atmosphere is incredible, so much fun is had every time I go in. Service is as good as you will find anywhere! You can be on the tavern side and enjoy AL behind the bar, taking care of business, having a blast and clearly loving what he does. You can be on the Martini bar side where you will not find a better bar tender/human being, Hadley Golde. I go there time and time again, specifically for her and to know I will always be taken care of. You just cannot ask for better food, drink, fun...
