La Michoacana Rose — Restaurant in Crystal

The icecream was ok. But, I mistakenly paid with cash. There were 4 of us, we all got smalls. The total was $21 something with tax. I gave the young man who waited on us 2 $20's. He gave me change for $30 instead of $40. Unfortunately I didn't notice until later when we gone. I left a voice-mail asking for someone to check into it. Left my name and number. Never heard from them. 🤷‍♀️

So I did receive a call from the owner after I posted this review. I figured that might happen. 🙂 She claims she called me yesterday, no record of that on my phone. She did do some checking and the total was $31 something, so I did receive the correct change. I was surprised of the additional charges, cones were $1 something each, and there was a $3 service charge. I didn't see any signs, they may have been posted 🤷‍♀️ So it was more than $7.75 each for the small size, not $5.50 as the sign stated. If you want to be transparent just include everything in the price except for the tax. On a side note, you spelled my name wrong, it's clearly showing above. I do appreciate you getting...

My sister won a giveaway with these people in October to get any event catered. She was never contacted, she then messaged them on Instagram a little later in October, where they answered that it was not to late to receive her prize. They ghosted my sister for months after multiple messages. Finally yesterday (3/2/22), exactly five months after posting the raffle winner they messaged her. My sister wanted to redeem her prize for a baby shower, they never asked her what the event was for, how many people would be there, or anything in the nature of getting an event catered. They never went over ANY details about the winning prize with her besides saying in the video “we will cater your next event, it doesn’t matter what event”. I even got a vibe that they felt forced to do the event afterwards. Truly unprofessional and not the type of people I want to support. Just a heads up to people who ever win any of...

I found the I've cream to be decent at best. A bit over priced, but the portion was big. The store was cute, but every table was dirty. There was practically nobody in there. I wouldn't rate so low, but.... I shelled out almost $30 for 3 ice creams. Seemed high as the listed price for smalls was $5.50. we did get waffle cone bowls. I figured there was an upcharge (not posted), so I asked about it and she printed a copy of our reciept. The waffle bowl charge was fair, but a 12% service charge was added to our bill, (not posted) and I tipped. I find that unethical and ensured we won't be visiting again. If the ice cream were better and I didn't feel slighted, we'd definitely make it a regular place though....
