Let me start with the positive. The gentleman in the morning was wonderful. Connected with every person there and genuinely good people. Took our waitress a bit to get going, but she was nice. And the regulars really love her.
Here where it gets real for me and my personal experience. I'd seen the negative reviews and thought these people were too picky or just being rude. Unfortunately I too shares similar experiences. My egges did taste of some sort of dish water, my hash was clearly from a can. Hashbrowns, I liked those. However, driving close to home my fiance and I started to feel ill. So needless to stay we won't be back. Although we would follow that gentleman anyway else. Just.... not here.
The people there however maybe should have stayed home, it seemed that many people were sick. The amount of coughing from many different tables was alarming. We had to move to the other side of the restaurant. Its a good size , but isn't that large. This particular part isn't the restaurants fault. If you are sick stay home. Your putting others at risk. After 2 years I thought we could all agree at...
Read moreNot really anything was too good here unfortunately. Went 11am on a Monday, four other guests there when I arrived. Ordered a coffee which was fine. Took a few minutes to get a refill. Ordered the chicken fried steak, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and pancakes which all came within a reasonable time. The chicken was decent, personally I'd like to see more breading, this was thin and crisp. Portion of the chicken was a bit small to me as it was the main part of the dish. It wasn't flat at all like this dish usually is, this was more of like an inch thick piece and slightly uneven. Lots of gravy on it. Received toast instead of pancakes...then pancakes after a reorder was placed. I still ate the not very toasted toast. Fluffy cakes but I'm pretty sure they just came out of a cheap box. Syrup is Log Cabin brand apparently. Hash browns were good and had a lot of them, like 2/3 of the plate. Eggs were typical...fried on the flat top and chopped I guess. They had a Sriracha/Tobasco sauce that I used on my hash browns and eggs...
Read moreNo repeats! I really wanted to like this place. My experience was terrible. Arrived 7:30 ish in the morning. We were the only customers. We waited about 10 minutes for service. This is a small restaurant but our server was too busy talking with the cook to be bothered with us. Ordered a coffee and I like strong coffee but this coffee was bitter and not very good. Not a deal breaker as coffee is different from place to place. We ordered French toast and bacon & also eggs hashbrowns toast and sausage. The French toast was pretty good 👍 the bacon not so much. The hashbrowns way undercooked the sausage patties gross. Server never checked on us! As we attempted to eat the food a "giant" and I do mean "giant" centipede ran down the wall and onto our table! I smashed it and informed our server. She said " yeah I think we are going to have to move that picture because bugs live behind it". What?! Needless to say we will...
