I shop here regularly and I don't like going to the self checkout because they are stupid and don't take cash so I prefer personally to go to the regular checkout.
I don't know if a cashier was reading my lips when I said "This is ridiculous to only have one register open"; or not but I was approached by and employee and told she was going to open up a register and I can step over to it.
I guess the man wasn't in a speaking mood or mad because he had to actually do some work. But he just started scanning didn't greet us or anything and that was fine with me because they had people overflowing and I was just trying to hurry up and get out of there .
As we are loading our items on the conveyor belt the cashier who was grouchy mumbled something and my husband didn't hear him so I asked what did you say??.. I will tell him and he responded softly.."Keep the water in the cart" . I responded don't you have to get the cart from us afterwards for the next customer behind us?!
He then basically shrugged his shoulders as if to brush off what I asked him and in midst of him talking to me a security guard pops up right behind me that wasn't originally there .
I was taken aback and ask him why was he so close behind me. He responded;"My bad" and said I'm good??! ..I said what does that even mean?! My husband turned around after doing this workers job of placing the water underneath the cart for him and came and stood beside me.
This made me super uncomfortable and made my shopping experience here at a place I frequent unenjoyable.
I am writing this comment so the people at Aldi can understand that we choose to come to this establishment and that's why you have a job to work.
If you can't respect the people you are servicing then give your job to someone who will appreciate it.
Please stop allowing your workers to walk up on patrons from the back and violate they're private spaces. You never know the...
Read moreIf I could give Aldis in Crystal Minnesota a negative review I would. I usually shop at this Aldis without no problem until 10/2625. I encounter manager Brooke Erickson. She approached my sister, niece and myself and stated my nieces emotional support dog can not be in the store. We have shopped in this store for many years and my niece brought her emotional support dog with her and never had an issue. I asked Brooke Erickson for her policy on emotional support dogs not being allowed in the store. As we were about to check out she approached me with a piece of paper and stated I could not find a policy but the policy was on the door in red writing( checked and no such policy on door). I advised Brooke several times that she stated her policy which did not exist and she started to harass us. She asked which was strange several times promise not to bring the dog back or you will be trespassed. She started to get loud (causing a seen at the registers) and continued to harass us. She stood by while we paid for our items still harassing us. I have never been humiliated and harassed in this manner at any of your Aldis locations. Brooke should not be in any level of a management team. She lacks professionalism and needs at least customer service & diversity training. Shoppers beware of Brooke Erickson in this store...
Read moreYears ago, when I was super broke, I went to an Aldi, the one in Coon Rapids, I got two feet in and turned around because you could smell the rotten produce the second you walked in. I didn't step foot into an Aldi for many years after that.
Until, I needed something and Aldi was the easiest option to stop on my way home, I thought, ok, chili seasoning has to be ok, even if the produce is bad.
Wow! This place was nothing like the Coon Rapids store, everything looked and smelled great in the produce section, even being well stocked with organic options! I have been a die hard aldi shopper since! Not only was all the food great, but, since they carry their own brands, the prices, I couldn't believe, usually filling up a cart with everything I could ever want at a cub or target, ran close to 350 or sometimes 450. I don't think I ever spent more than 225 in a single run at Aldi, this was with an overpacked cart filled with everything from produce to meats and cheeses. Also, honestly, their version of cinnamon toast crunch is better than the original, the original tastes like wheat-y or something.
So, not EVERY Aldo is great, but this one is AWESOME! I guess it's all about the staff caring more about the cleanliness and these guys do...
