TequilaTown Authentic Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Crystal

I really liked this place, first and foremost the staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The chips were hot and the salsa had a good heat to it. I'm not sure if there are levels of spice you can request. Best complimentary chips and salsa I've had in a while. I got the monster lime margarita but I asked for half marg mix and half club soda and it was perfect, I'm not a huge fan of margs with tons of mix, they are too sweet for me, but they made mine perfectly. There are quite a few menu options I was very intrigued by, so we decided to go with things we regularly choose at Mexican restaurants to see how they compared. They were amazing! We got the Taco Fajita Salad, Texado style (chicken, steak, and shrimp) and the Fajita Enchiladas Mix, they both had amazing flavour and the rice didn't have peas in it. Lol that is especially important to us.

All in all, we will definitely be back, the prices were on par with the deliciousness of the food and drinks. This is, hands down, our new favorite Mexican place in this area. We went to Theresa's last night and it was terrible...

⭐️ 1 Star – The OWNER is the only problem here, and it’s a BIG one

Let’s be real, the only bad experience at Tequila Town in Crystal comes from the OWNER himself. Every time me and my sister have come in, he’s been rude, dismissive, and flat-out disrespectful—for absolutely no reason.

Today was the final straw. This man had the audacity to approach us and claim we cause problems every time we come in. That’s a lie. The only issue we ever had was ONE time, and it was about his poor customer service. Since then, he’s held a grudge and made it his mission to treat us like we don’t belong there. Meanwhile, the rest of the staff has always been kind and respectful. HE is the only problem, and it’s a loud one.

The vibe is off the minute he opens his mouth. And honestly, the food is not good enough to justify being treated like we’re a nuisance just for spending our money. Respect is free, but clearly that’s too expensive for him to offer.

I don’t even know where to start. Just overall not worth your money. We were a party of 6 so we sat on one of the longer tables.

Service: During the meal, the server would only check on one side/end of the table for water refills and not check on the others on the opposite end of the table. She’d refill one person’s water and that was it. You would think you’d check the entire table for anyone else who’s water was empty/needed refilling. The only time the waitress was prompt was when she came to collect the check/payment. There were also so many servers just standing around so it blows my mind how they weren’t actively attending to tables.

Food: I ordered the Pollo Vallarta and the chicken was incredibly salty and over seasoned. The rice was over cooked and just off in flavor. Felt like someone microwaved one of those packaged rice packets. The best part of this dish was sadly the steamed vegetables.
