Looked this place up on my travels in the South, stopped in to see what it was all about. Ordered the "all meat" pizza. It took a while to get the order, the waitresses were good about keeping my Dr. Pepper topped off. One waitress was very courteous, whilethe other was all business. The pizza was very good, sauce tasted homemade, the dough wasn't dense and cooked perfectly, just a light crispness to it. All ingredients tasted fresh, the bacon had a good flavor to it. The little place had a good atmosphere as well. All in all not a bad place, just not super fast. I give it a thumbs up.

Pizza was great not so much for the chicken Alfredo. Very swampy, wet sauce. Literally no texture like water down under the top layer of cheese. My partner even suggesting pouring some Parmesan to thicken the sauce which end up being a fail. I was very disappointed. I end up picking the chicken and didn’t finish my meal. If my partner didn’t order pizza, I would have left still hungry. He even tried my Alfredo and notice the noodles was cry. Sauce was bland. I would not recommend the Alfredo. I did enjoy my first ever lemon drop. Spacious environment. Local restaurant.

First time eating here. Didnt know where the door was to go in, but thankfully a gentleman was walking out as we were walking down the steps. By the way, you have to walk through the drive thru lane to get to the door. Ordered a 14" pizza. It was great! I'm not much of a thin crust nor am I a "chunks of tomatoes in my sauce" kind of person so I just picked the chunks off as I came across them. I would definitely come again and recommend this establishment to anyone. Fast and friendly service.

Super disappointing. The short of it? Go somewhere else, because this is just pretty shoddy "Italian."

It was my first time visiting, went with a couple of friends. All of us had never been before. When we walked in, we were pointed to a table and told to seat ourselves. The table was dirty, so from the get go things weren't great. I could understand if they were slammed, but there were only about 4 other tables there, maybe 8 people all in all? So the fact we had to wipe our own just didn't impress us.

The waitress took our orders, which was chicken Alfredo, regular spaghetti, and a small pizza. Hoo boy did my one friend and I regret the Alfredo and spaghetti. The Alfredo sauce had nothing to it, no seasonings or any other flavor that wasn't just straight cheese and milk, and it has the consistency of milk too; absolutely no thickness, pretty watery. The noodles were very overcooked, super soft and probably just a couple of minutes shy of becoming Gerber baby food fettuccine. Same issue with the regular spaghetti; extremely watery tomato sauce, we had to soak it up with napkins and the provided bread. And again, overcooked, super soft, basically soup. It's pretty bad when tomato soup itself is thicker than the sauce in that spaghetti. My friend said that if it weren't for the cheese dumped on top, their spaghetti wouldn't have had any flavor.

When it comes to the pizza, my other friend said they were fine with it. I took a bite myself and it was perfectly fine, nothing amazing about it. At least it wasn't liquid. However, the garlic bread was pretty good, if over buttered. The bread was actually the best part of the meal. The chicken in my Alfredo was actually pretty decent too. But everything else? I've had jarred sauces that had more flavor, to be blunt. And watery tomato sauce just comes off as a pretty amateur mistake to make when it comes to Italian food.

On top of that, my friend had to grab herself a shaker of parmesan from another table because our waitress never got her any when we asked. And our table and the one behind us had to flag her down in order to get refills because, in the entire 30 minutes we had our food, we didn't get checked on once, and neither did the table behind us.

All in all, like I said before, super disappointing. This place is pretty highly reviewed and I'm extremely confused as to why. Did I enter the Twilight Zone?? Because even Olive Garden could do better, and that's the Taco Bell of Italian. I grew up around Italian families, I've eaten the food my whole life, and I'm seriously wondering if the chefs here have ever tasted the real thing. I've never been to Carlton's, but that's probably better. However, I can definitely recommend Francesco's in Decatur if you're willing to...

I have always enjoyed going to and ordering from Grumps. Today was different story. I arrived at approximately 12:06 for lunch and waited at least 5 more minutes before being seated. When my server arrived, I ordered my drink and food. 35 minutes later I had to ask about my sandwich. I told one of the servers that two tables had been seated since I arrived and both tables had received their food . As I was checking out, the three at the register wanted to somehow make me feel bad as if was my fault. I am a regular Google reviewer and have never felt entitled to anything. I enjoy giving reviews, but if there was less than one star I would give it today. It will be a long time before I go back, if ever. I will miss the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. If the owner sees this post, please feel free to contact me.

May I mention that I stood by the door when I arrived and then stood in front of the counter, because of traffic, before anyone waited on me. I also ordered a sandwich, when two table were seated after me and received their food before me. You can watch all the videos you want but my timer was running too. I may post again when. It was a sandwich, which I took to go because I had to be back at the office at 1pm. Even if it was 33 minutes, that is still a long wait for a sandwich, pickle wedge and bag of chips. And, when your servers walk by patrons, have them acknowledge the patron, whether standing or sitting. Just say something nice. Customer service...

Went there for dinner on Friday night at 5:30pm. Plenty of tables were available. I noticed the paintings on the wall depicting scenes from Italy. There appeared to be two dining rooms and a bar. We sat in the first room and it was comfortable. Twenty or more drafts were listed on their chalkboard on the wall. My husband had difficulty making his beer choice so the waitress offered to bring him two small pours to sample. I ordered the XEO Red Ale for $6.00. It was served promptly. The beer was cold and filled to the brim. We ordered the cheesy bread with marinara for an appetizer and it was served hot! Cheesy awesomeness! Had to let the bread cool on the plate for 5 minute before eating, otherwise we would have burned our mouths. I ordered the Alfredo for $7.75. The noodles were slippery in sauce. My garlic bread sopped up the excess sauce, no problem. The alfredo portion was small compared to the manicotti and baked spaghetti entrees that my family members ordered. The food was served very hot, straight out of the oven. All of our entrees were without any frills and without any garnish. Basic, common Italian food. Our waitress was efficient and keep our glasses full. She made many trips to our table to make sure we were happy. Walk up to the cashier to settle your bill. Grumpy color t-shirts were available for $9.95. Overall good value for the food & drinks consumed. Nice family restaurant. No grumpy people were encountered...
