El Huarique Peruvian Kitchen — Restaurant in Culver City

I’m going to start off by saying that I’m Peruvian, and after living in LA and trying different Peruvian restaurants, I can confidently say this place is special. There’s truly no other spot like El Huarique. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and you can taste the love in every dish. It feels like a hidden gem, which is exactly why it’s called “El Huarique” (meaning secret spot).

I've loved the original El Huarique in Venice for years but it is so hard to find parking there! We are SO lucky to have this one open in Culver City. Food is amazing--I've been twice already since it opened. Aji Amarillo was soooo bomb; I think I had the tallarine verdes the previous time and it was also very good. It was my bestie's first time having lomo saltado and now she is a convert. They also really liked the ceviche!

Excellent Peruvian cuisine. We had the pollo a la brasa, beans, salad. The chicken was moist tender and perfectly seasoned. Beans and salad were spot on. We are going back for their saltados and chaufas. Great people, great vibe. All around winner. Update: just had their lomo saltado, the best I have had in my life. Perfectly balanced, beef charred on the outside and pink on the inside....
