Under the Sea Indoor Playground — Attraction in Culver City

We love this place. We are regular customers and had couple of birthdays celebration over there. We can't complain but recently we witnessed an incidence that wasn't appealing. Some kids were fighting over a ball, 2-3 kids cornered a child who was holding a ball, and they were not letting him move. The child tried to escape, couldn't so he pushed one of the boys (which is wrong). The absurd part was the owner who went and grabbed that child and started yelling at him (after the other 2 boys went and told their parents, yet the parents didn't see what happened nor the owner). My issue is not the incidence, these things happen between kids and we teach them how to defend themselves without hurting others but the owner's reaction was completely unacceptable. It's the parents job to discipline their kids. She yelled at the child, grabbed him from his arms and didn't give that child a chance to talk. The child admitted that he pushed the boy , was defending himsel, when another wonderful parent was patient enough to know how to solve the conflict.

This woman's attitude is the reason i m giving the place a 2 stars. 1 for her lack of skills and proper communication matters. Another star for giving her the benefit of the doubt She is rude and mean and crossed...

Under the Sea is one of my favorite places to take my girls!!! They absolutely love it!!! The more recent time I went, I was so happy and excited to see new additions to the place!! The staff is constantly rearranging the location of items to ensure that every place of the playground is being used to it's full potential! My oldest loves the mini track with the high speed car. (Although the length of the space the car runs is a little too small and kind of nerve wrecking it's pretty safe because they are padding). They recently added a nice spinning go round (similar to spinning tea cups). All the kids seemed to love that addition along with another similar item that children sit on whales I think and they can spin.. Not as fast but it's still a very fun play set.

The only thing I would change or like to be changed would be the space of the fast car track. It's very fun but it needs more space for the car to run so that children don't immediately crash on to the padding. Not enough to lower the rating because I'm a parent who's close by supervising my girls.

We're about to leave under the sea and when my 14 year old daughter goes to get the shoes for my grandson, the lady working (red hair, pretty old, and a lot of makeup on) asks her with a lot of sass who she was with and when my daughter responds with "my mom over there" the lady rolls her eyes and shakes her head then turns over again and says " well your going to be sitting right?" My daughter responded with "what's wrong if I wanted to play with my nephew" the lady started to raise her voice and told her "then your mom needs to pay for you" my daughter gets mad and mimicks with her hand how she's talking. The lady starts to walk towards me and my daughter and tells me that my daughter is (in her words) "nasty" and that she needs my daughter to leave. I start to tell her "instead of making a scene you should have considered talking to me, the mom, and not being disrespectful" something like that I said. My daughter comes back with my grandson and we leave. This isn't the first time that lady has acted that way in front of the kids and the parents. She's disrespectful and doesn't know how to...
