Tellefson Park — Attraction in Culver City

I picked up some lunch with a friend at a nearby restaurant that had no outside seating. I remembered this park from years ago, so we drove there to eat. There was only one picnic table in the entire park, and two hard stone benches that we could see from the side of the park where we were. There was someone sitting at the picnic table when we arrived at the park, but after we parked down the block and walked up to the park, he got up and went over to one of the benches. Otherwise, we would have had to ask to share the table (during a pandemic), or eat on the bench balancing our food on our laps. More picnic benches would make this a better park. There are lots of trash receptacles, which is nice. There were two of them just a few steps from our picnic table. Edit: I just looked at the posted photos and see that there are more picnic tables under a pavilion at the far corner of the park that we couldn't see from where we were. This place is typically quiet, even on the weekends, so there's plenty of room for the kiddos. It has two sets of play apparatus for different ages of kids. It also has a large field with space for a picnic (also also separate picnic tables). The play areas are also shaded by an overhang and trees so it stays cool on warm days. My girls love this place and request it specifically over other nearby playgrounds for the reasons I mentioned: It's private, clean, cool and has a variety of play sources.
