My main need in a hotel is a good mattress for a good night's sleep. Mattress was awful. I lifted the mattress pad up and the mattress looked like it was a roller coaster. Valleys and peaks. I wouldn't even try to guess how old it was. Came over on the Mayflower, maybe?
Overpriced at $200 per night. Reality should have been around, maybe, $75.
Mold in the shower - that was disgusting.
Tired old building.
Building, rooms need to be totally updated.
The Internet is slow and difficult to connect to.
A/C unit was noisy and would never stop running.
Room is dark and gloomy.
Construction going on the back side of the hotel so the noise starts at 8:00 AM.
Plugged up sink so when the toilet is flushed it backs up in the sink.
Can hear people in the room above walking across the room.
The toilet paper holder did not have the spool that the toilet paper goes onto. Too expensive to have them replaced, maybe? Was someone stealing them? I was moved to a second room after complaining about the first room and it was the same situation in both rooms.
Small detail, but the light bulbs were all of different brightness so all had a different light. Just a tacky detail.
I would never stay here again nor would I suggest it to anyone.
Let me add that I complained about all of the problems and was moved to another room. It wasn't as bad but not much of an upgrade at all suggesting to me that all of the rooms were all about the same condition. I do have photos and will post them on other sites such as Tripadvisor, Agoda, etc.
Photos posted on Tripadvisor.
Notice the replys from the GM. All the same response to all of the complaints. Just a cut and paste reply with no solutions. "Rest assured, we will promptly address these concerns to ensure that they are rectified and our future guests are provided with a more enjoyable stay. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention."
Yeah, right! Stay away from...

Read moreIf I could give this hotel a minus 5 I would. It’s not that it’s just overpriced for the dumpy hole that it is , ( I paid 150 per night, I found better for the sane price), it’s just that it should not be allowed to be in business unless they clean it up , renovate it and make sure the minimum standards are met. First of all the room smelled awful, putrid, like death. I wondered if there would be a dead body sewn into the mattress. Secondly the bed , the mattress is destroyed and the springs pop out , there is a giant depression in the middle of mattress. Thirdly , no hot water. I couldn’t take a shower in the two days that I was there and had to use wash cloths. Come in, people! How do you stay in business? I asked to have another room, and the other one they showed me was even worse ( it stank just as much and it was in the back and dark on top of that bc the window was facing the wall). I gave up and stayed in my room ( thank god I only had one night left). This hotel needs serious renovation and new furniture and plumbing needs to be fixed ( no water pressure in the shower , did I mention that?) It is decayed and the smell shows the years of neglect and decay. Get your...
