I have one thing to say about Ginger's Divine Ice Cream!!! It was absolutely DIVINE!!! Lol. I made my way to Culver City since it was my birthday and I wanted ice cream. I didn't want to have that basic ice cream experience so my search led me to Ginger's. Upon arriving I was greeted with a welcome and then my taste buds began to dance and I knew THIS was THEE place to be lol. Let me tell you!! the flavors they have were mind blowing and some I've never heard of before but I was super tempted to try. They do allow you 2 samples so be wise with your choices.
I got the Lavender Burnt Sugar and half Samoa and half Billionaire Brownie and OMG!! I was blown away by the creaminess and explosive flavor of all of them. The Samoa taste exactly like the Girls Scout Cookies and the Billionaire Brownie had decadent fudge brownie pieces in it!! Amazing. The Lavender Burnt Sugar, was super delicious but I wish the lavender flavor was more intense(that's my fat foodie desire speaking lol). You can taste the crystalized pieces of burnt sugar throughout the lavenderchefs kiss.
When I thought things couldn't get any better, I laid my eyes on a mouth watering Chocolate Chip Cookie!! and yes I did lol I got it. It was the best Chocolate Chip Cookie I've ever had (in my opinion).. super soft chewy center and slightly crunchy around the edges. Now, guess what!! for my ice cream cookie sandwich folks, they got you covered. They have a huge variety of ice cream cookie sandwiches for you in a freezer near the register. I will conquer that freezer the next time I visit lol that's for sure.
Customer Service, could have been better after the welcome things were super bland, there was no additional small talk or assistance. I didn't feel rushed but the stare of hurry up and make your decision was definitely present. Nonetheless, Ginger's is a definite try and I will be back much sooner than later. Minus the dry customer service, It didn't turn me away as a customer. If you're in or near Culver City you must pay them a visit, you will...
Read moreI've been here twice. It's on my route back from a 10-mile round trip walk to Venice. What can I tell you? I like to walk. Well let me walk (I'm so sorry) you through my experience with Ginger's Divine Ice Cream.
Covid Measures Masks are required, staff are clean and careful, markers tell you where to stand in line so that you're 6 ft apart, they only allow 5 people in the store at once, and there are dispensers of hand sanitizer available. What more could you ask for?
Staff Super kind people. Professional and knowledgeable about the product.
The Goods The first time I stopped by, I got the brownie with powdered sugar on top. It was gooey and homemade. Not too sweet. Perfect.
The second time I stopped by, I tried the Billionaire Brownie ice cream. Single scoop. First, I'll say that if you know me or you've read my other reviews, you're aware that I can EAT, so when I say that one scoop was enough to satisfy me without making me feel like a tub, it means that the portions for one scoop are respectable. The ice cream itself is very good, and the brownie, pecans, fudge, caramel, and vanilla ice cream make for the right combination of flavors and textures that’s nice and varied. Generous serving of those pieces, for sure. As the name would imply, I did feel like a billionaire while eating it, but alas, I checked my bank account afterwards and did not see a ten-figure balance. It's exceptional ice cream, but it's not magic.
Price Totally fair and comparable to Salt & Straw, I'd say. I'm not complaining. Just right.
Note You can buy ice cream that's conveniently packaged already. They have a freezer to the left when you enter the shop.
Recommend? Yes. I'll be back to try...

All of the reviews saying how good the ice cream is aren't lies. They offer vegan friendly options as well which are great if you prefer non dairy.
The Raspberry and Blueberry Pie ice cream delivers an explosion of flavors that dance upon our taste buds. The creamy raspberry base is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, reminiscent of freshly picked raspberries on a warm summer day. The blueberry swirls intertwine like ribbons, adding bursts of intense sweetness that harmonize flawlessly with the raspberry.
With each bite, we discover hidden treasures within the ice cream. Tiny pie crust crumbs are scattered throughout, providing a delightful crunch that mimics the experience of biting into a warm pie crust. These delicate morsels add a comforting texture, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the flavor.
I only got a taste of the Panacoda Raspberry and it also did not disappoint. The cone unveils itself as a masterpiece of flavor architecture. Its base, crafted from a medley of finely ground graham cracker crumbs, forms a sturdy foundation. With each bite, you are transported to a cozy campfire gathering, where toasted marshmallows dance upon golden flames and tales of adventure fill the night air.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's also on the corner of a quiet neighborhood where you'll find a lot of...
