After Covid 4 years went to Tito’s on 11/22/2024 12.58 pm for lunch take out ordered bean and cheese burrito and meat cheese bean for my husband I asked her to repeat my order which she did her name is Maggie So we need was our turn to pick up our order which is 180 order number 180 the security guard hands us our food and we drive home and when I take a bite of my burrito it’s beef beans cheese. And my husband’s is the same when he ordered that burrito so I called and I told them that they gave me the wrong order or they messed up my burrito you know what they said they said I shouldn’t eat at a Mexican restaurant because I’m a vegetarian I could file a lawsuit and Sue Tito’s and the owner Linda Davidson but I am not going to do that I did not even dispute the charge on my credit card but just to hurt somebody like that and say that you should not eat at a Mexican restaurant because you’re a vegetarian that’s an insult I called back and spoke to the guy manager I think his name is Wellmin He said that I should have checked my order before I left and I said well if the security guard hands me my food with no gloves which I noticed but I didn’t make a big deal that’s OK I had Maggie repeat my order I was 100% sure that my order was correct. Titos will not last that business will shut down soon they are over priced expensive they are cheap with their quality and the customer service is the worst you can imagine in Culver City I cannot believe somebody or discriminate your culture like that I don’t eat beef because I’m Indian and then she tells me I shouldn’t eat the bean and cheese either because they put lard in the beans I just could not believe this conversation I had to do a review I never do reviews Titos you are...
Read moreI would like to update my recent visit to Tito's Tacos on July 29th 2025 at 3pm. It was like eating there once again in 1972. Wow!!! Chips hot/fresh/crisp/...Taco with cheese (plenty of it) and loaded with beef, tasted the same as I remember....The Beef-Bean-Cheese burrito was hot and loaded with beef and cheese and tasted the same as when I was a kid. Of course there is no other red salsa like Tito's. I appreciate the order system...rather than everyone waiting in a separate line...there is one line and when the next window opens you step up...who's next...makes it so fair. I may have went on a bad day last year...but today felt like the hands of time were re-set. Maybe Tito's is reading some of the negative comments and have re-organized. The lines are not as big as the early days because there are so many more options for the younger crowd...from Fancier taco places and street vendors...Tito's Tacos may not be as spicy as some like, but those tacos when you add the red salsa are delicious. OG to the marrow. There is a YouTube video on how Tito's food is made and shipped to the restaurant... worth watching. Quality ingredients. When a business has to make a choice they can either keep the prices the same and lower the quality of food...or raise the price and keep the quality the same. If there suppliers raise the price (like everything) their hands are tied. Tito's owns the land like any institution in LA like Canters Johnny's Pastrami or Phillips who has been around for DECADES....it's a must and be consistent with the quality of food. Tito's is great and they will be around long after I'm gone. Btw throwing a couple of bucks in the tip jar always helps...they work hard, and show their appreciation when you...
Read moreFirst off, I'm Mexican-American but this place didn't do it for me. At all. Whoever is leaving goods reviews is getting fooled. Fortunately I can tell the difference between good and bad Mexican food. This ain't it.
PROS: Free parking, fast line/service, plenty of seating, good presentation.
CONS: Subpar quality and ingredients, lack of customer service - rude staff, cold food, pricey.
During my first visit, after all the hype, I ordered a taco, tostada, enchilada, and small drink for $16.85. The best thing was the soda. Everything is a la carte, so paying around $5 each for a single item is ridiculous and not worth what you get. At better establishments, you can get a whole meal in a lunch special that includes 2 items, rice, beans, chips, salsa and drink for $7.50. Plus Tito's charges you for cheese. Come on!
Speaking of cheese, the cheese on my enchilada was not melted all the way because the entire thing was cold, and the tortilla was like chewing through cardboard. Their choice of tortillas is just wrong. They are too thick and yellow, so the taste of the corn overpowers the other flavors. Too bad the salsa wasn't good enough to enhance the gross taste either. Corn tortillas should taste more subtle. I recommend white corn. The tortilla thickness resulted in the food being harder to crunch and chew, which made the chips and taco seem stale.
The tostada had the most potential BUT the beans were bland and there was no meat, ideally ground beef. Yet, the meat in the taco looked questionable so perhaps it was better off being meatless.
It all looked good until I took my first bite. Major fail! The next time I crave a crunchy taco, I'll drive out of town to my mom's or make it...
