When I first visited this restaurant, the food was quite good, and I had a positive experience. However, over time, the quality has noticeably declined. On my recent visit, the idly was very disappointing — it had a sour taste and seemed to be made from spoiled batter. That’s not something you expect from a place that serves South Indian food.
Additionally, I noticed the dosa size has reduced significantly, but the price remains the same, which doesn’t feel fair. It’s frustrating to see both the quality and portion size go down while the pricing stays high.
I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both food quality and consistency. 06/24/2025
Updated & below is my response the owner
Let us be very clear: you are not royalty who can dismiss customer concerns without accountability. Running a restaurant involves serving your guests with humility and grace, not arrogance.
We will be attaching our transaction details to validate our visit. Instead of accepting honest feedback in good faith, you chose to accuse us, which reflects very poorly on your customer care approach.
It’s unfortunate that rather than acknowledging concerns from real customers, you chose to doubt and deflect. We hope you reflect on this and understand that hospitality is built on trust and respect—not just food.
Final update before we proceed for any legal actions. 06/28
Dear owner,
Thank you for your response. However, I am deeply disturbed and offended by the way you have chosen to handle this matter.
You contacted me by phone around 10:00–10:15 PM ET, which is inappropriate and intrusive for a business in Forsyth County, Georgia. Late-night business calls of this nature violate reasonable consumer expectations and can be seen as harassment, especially when they are about a paid order.
Let me be very clear: • It is entirely my choice to place an order under one name (Bhanu) and leave a review under another account or nickname (Chintu). • Your insistence on questioning why I used a different name feels disrespectful, humiliating, and unnecessary. • I paid in full for the order. Nothing was provided for free, and I did not request or expect any special treatment or compensation.
Your comments and late-night call come across as a deliberate attempt to degrade my self-respect and pressure me into changing or justifying my honest feedback. This is unacceptable for any business, and especially disappointing coming from an establishment I chose to...
Read moreTop notch restaurant that serves some amazingly delicious and perfectly made Dosa in this entire city. Absolutely the best and no other restaurant (probably apart from Amma’s Kitchen, Chutney Express, Pistah house) came closer to this. Highly highly recommend to every single person who is craving for some excellent and authentic Bangalore style Dosa.
THE FOOD: We got Benne Dosa, Cheese Dosa, Paneer 65 and then Chole Batura. The Chole Batura was not on the menu somehow we got to know that they serve them. The cheese Dosa was perfectly cooked and moist. The Benne Dosa is the best thing that I have tried in the last 7-8 years easily after leaving Bangalore. Spot on. The chutneys were amazing as well. The Sambar was equally great. Saw a few customers having it separately after they completed their Dosa/ Idly. The Paneer 65 was very spicy despite requesting for mild one. It was decent. The Chole Batura was pretty good as well. The food overall was just top notch. Just hope they continue to serve the same quality and food without any compromises and start to serve age old boring Biryani’s like any other Indian restaurant does here in Cumming /Atlanta.
SERVICE & AMBIENCE: It’s more like self service but the ambience is just great. The lighting and the smell of Dosa/ Butter/ Ghee was all over the place. The food was quickly served and took great care and time in explaining certain things. It started to get crowded towards 7PM on a Sunday evening and soon there was a long line till the outside of the restaurant. Happy to see some high demand for some good quality food.
BOTTOMLINE: Should be the GoTo restaurant if someone is looking for home made style authentic South Indian dosa. I would highly encourage and recommend everyone to visit this place and enjoy their delicious servings especially the Dosa!
MY PICKS FOR YOU: Benne Dosa (and any other Dosa varieties),...
Read moreThatte Idli - Excellent Idlis. Chutneys are fresh. Only place which serves Coconut chutney in the sub-urbs. Podis are also good. Karam podi is passable.
Veg Semiya(Rice Vermicelli) Must try this dish. It was excellent. Tangy with springy vermicelli.
Fried Rice - Fresh and good quality ingredients used. Taste is good but Vegetables are too raw.
Gobi Manchuri - Extremely soggy. Very tangy. The Manchuri was undercooked and not coated completely. Oil was dripping from the Gobi. Zero Chinese flavor. Zero Ginger Garlic in any of the Chinese items. Not sure why.
Fried Rice - Fresh and good quality ingredients used. Taste is good but Vegetables are too raw. Lacking chinese flavor even in the Schezwan fried rice.
Thali - Too many items in the thali. The portion size is too much. Sambar is the same one given for idli. Sambar for rice should be different from Sambar for idli. It was extremely sweet. Rasam was not even warm. No salt, tamarind no spice, no flavor. It was like rinsed water from the vessel. The Chana Salad was pointless. Raw Banana sabzi had raw garlic in it and was not tasting good. Paneer butter masala was very good Lemon rice was good. Ada Pradanam was also good. Mor Kolambu was good but needed to be cooked more. Podi and chutney were good too.
They should keep the meal simple and eliminate: Banana, salad, idli wala Sambar and raw garlic sabzi, chapathi and north Indian curry in south Indian meals. It is impossible to eat this much food. Even the quantity of rice was also too much. There should be a smaller size thali with fewer ingredients as an option for people with...
