Would NEVER recommend this place in a million years. I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life. I came into this store before going to my little brother's birthday dinner next door. I came in because my great grandmother's antique ring had broken. I wanted to know what could be done to possibly fix it. I spoke with the lady up front(who was lovely by the way)and the owner Izzy. I was told the pearl for the ring could be glued on for $5 but they would have to keep it overnight. I said okay and started to fill out contact information. My mother then calls me on my cell phone to ask for an update about the ring. I told her I was getting it fixed, and she wanted me to send a picture of the ring. I hung up with my mom and asked to take a picture of my ring and I had it thrown back in my face by Izzy. I was yelled at and called "disrespectful and rude for not trusting me and this is my Israeli attitude". I was almost in tears after this occurred. He walked away into the back and the lady up front was shaking her head and said "don't worry about this it happens so often". My parents are furious and we then did some research on this guy. I went to another jeweler down the street and told him what happened and he said not too long ago a woman came in to get her ring cleaned at that same place and the original diamond was replaced with a "smaller but better quality diamond". So he literally stole this woman's diamond. We are absolutely livid and will be conducting an investigation possibly with a lawyer/police. Save yourself from this disrespectful crook. Unbelievable.
Reply to owners review: I absolutely answered my cell phone as my mother was calling me while you were in the back and the wonderful lady up front was taking down my information. You seemed to hear that my mother wanted a picture of HER ring and you did not like that. You 100% raised your voice to me, a 20 year old woman that doesnât not deserved to be treated in that manner, nor does anyone. The only person that was kind in this store was the woman up front. And when I was on the verge of tears walking out of the store, she gave me a kind smile and said to not worry about it because this happens often and Izzy has an attitude towards certain customers. ON TOP of this, I took my ring to many other jewelers. And when you told me you were going to âglue the pearl on for $5â every other jeweler said that is the worst way to take care of this quality ring. A hole shouldâve been drilled into the pearl to keep it intact. Expect a letter soon. To other reviewers: please save yourself and stay away...
Read moreImagine walking into a jewelerâs workshop, and seeing the artisan hard at work creating amazing pieces of original art in the back room before your very eyes. When you visit Izzyâs shop, that is your experience. He referred to himself yesterday as a tailor, meaning that his creations are only limited by your own imagination. My wifeâs engagement ring was a 60 year old classic that her mother gave us. It needed to be re-sized along with our wedding ring. Izzy suggested combining the two into a beautiful single ring. Now the ring features the classic Diamond in an antique setting, with the smaller diamonds from the wedding ring encircling the rest of the ring. His studio features three display rooms as well. One is dedicated to engagement rings and elegant rings. The others feature his original work, and all are unique. Yesterday my wife brought in a tangled mess of jewelry she inherited and Izzy sorted everything into piles of gold, silver, and costume. He made an offer for the gold and silver on the spot. And then, for Valentineâs Day, he gave out red roses to his customers. Attached was a business card with a special promotion. My wife luckily selected one that offered her $500 in cash! Just another example of Izzyâs generosity. Visiting Izzyâs shop is not just âjewelry shoppingâ. It is an experience. And who would want to go to a Big Box jewelry store where pieces are mass produced, when you can go to a studio and actually see the artist at work. Go check out Atlanta Diamond Design, and bring along your imagination. Youâll be...
Read moreI am still in shock after just visiting this store. I wanted to get an appraisal done on my new ring which was a gift and family heirloom from my mother-in-law. The owner took a brief look at my ring and proceeded to degrade and insult it. Called the gold band it was on "mediocre". Told me white gold is the new "in" style and quoted me $400! I was there for a $75 appraisal and suddenly I'm being upsold and insulted. When I shot this suggestion down, he decided to tell me my stone was tilted (it came back from getting set and repaired less than 2 months ago) and at this point I know the only thing he's after is more money so I don't trust his opinion and deny his charging me $200 to reset the stone. And again ask that I just have an appraisal. He then tells me that he has a $60000 machine that tells them if the stone is natural or man made and it is located at his John's Creek location... how can you offer appraisals and not have the equipment to do it!?! He requested that I leave my ring with him for about 3 days. And after the way I was treated I would never trust my ring with him, I wouldn't be surprised if it came back with a fake stone in it! My recommendation is avoid this place and his other location!! How he has a successful business is absolutely baffling and I assume it's because he has good people working for him, so only a few of us unfortunate souls...
