Hear me out. I'm not a dessert person mostly because all the desserts out there are so sickly sweet that you can't make out what you just put in your mouth. We recently discovered this European bakery so we went there to try out. It claims to be European so my expectations were high. We ordered: turkey Gouda panini: very simple and on point. Well balanced, not overly salty like most sandwiches out there. Thoughtfully cut and wrapped in half neatly. lime tart: this is my favorite. The lime flavor really came through. The cream on top had no sugar, just creamy. Better than 100% of any lime tarts I've ever tried. This is 98% close to my definition of a perfect lime tart (I generally like a bit of puckering ) lemon tart: a bit richer than the lime tart, and the sourness still came through but a bit milder. There was a small piece of torched meringue on top which made it a bit sweet, so it's more my husband's fav than mine. plain croissant: the amount of flakes and butter and air holes would send you over the moon. 100% perfect croissant 🥐 almond croissant: no idea because husband refused to share. Enough said? I got to try a bit of the almond filling inside and oh my god it was so good. It's actually almond, not some fake almond stuff other almond croissants have.
Service: very good, no complaints Price: is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? 100% yes. Everything is VERY well executed. I've paid a lot more and a lot less for mediocre stuff.
Hats off...
Read moreI met with the baker about catering for an event, and almost nothing went according to plan.
She up-charged me 20$ on the day of the delivery, without a heads up or a reason. She refused to let me pay with card on the day i placed the order and asked that i pay cash on the pick up day, which i found to be strange but didn’t question her. Maybe it was intentional so she could up-charge at the last minute? I’m not sure, but I definitely wonder if she’s done this to others.
She made the wrong cake filling: we agreed on cherry, she made raspberry.
I asked for the cake to have flowers on top, and specifically asked her not to use a mini macaron as decoration, and she used a mini macaron as decoration and there was no flower in sight.
The only thing she got right was basically the color of the cake. It amazed me how unprofessional she was. I basically paid 104$ for something i didn’t want, and the baker wouldn’t even admit that she made a mistake (or several). I’m definitely sticking with Colette’s for my family’s future holiday celebrations and birthdays. Very disappointing.

The response of the baker/owner to my review is an absolute lie. Not only has she been unprofessional but a liar as well. I was not looking to be attacked when i left this review, but to warn others. If you worked honestly, you wouldn’t have to hunt down those who leave you an honest...
